What would taking Yaz birth control and smoking combined do to me? -
When I started taking birth control a few years ago I had stopped smoking. However, recently I started smoking again. Only a couple of cigarettes a day/ every other day. Well, I know the effects of smoking, but it just popped into my brain that Im on birth control now?! Also, Im a very healthy young person if that counts.My friends couzin died from using the Yaz birth control. She got a blood clot in the brain she was only 17 years old :(Dont mean to scare you;;You-re not entirely healthy if you-ve started smoking again, sorry to break it to you. Anyway, you can get blood clots that can travel up to your heart and/or lungs. This can cause a heart attack! It-s nothing to take casually...you really should quit.Smoking on birth control increases your risk of blood clots and stroke.
