How long should person smoke to have cancer? -
My first sigaret i tried when i was 6. Now i-m 24 heavy smoker, 2 packs a day. I read in newspaper, if i stop smoke, 10 years later all poisons get away from the body and i have same risk having lung cuncer as nonsmoker. But what if i-m already having that deadly level of poison in my body? You would be doing yourself a favor by quiting NOW! Everyone is unique and have different genetic make-ups. Some people who smoke may never get cancer, while some people who do not smoke will get some form of cancer. However, your chances of getting cancer are much higher if you smoke, so why play Russian roulette with your life. Quit now and try to eat well, exercise a little, and live a healthy, HAPPY, and long lifePlease stop smoking now. The benefits from quitting start almost immediately after quitting. It-s not just about lung cancer, but also about heart disease and other things having to do with your health.Too many good reasons to quit. If the health benefits don-t sell you, add up what you are spending on cigarettes. Save that money for one year and you can go on a pretty nice trip. At 4 bucks a pack, you will save almost $3000! Would you rather smoke or spend a week or two in Hawaii?Don-t push your luck. Quit now- and yes, in 10 years your level of risk does approach that of a nonsmoker.U CAN B SMOKIN FOR AS LITTLE AS 3 MONTHS AND LATER ON IN THE FUTURE U CAN FIND OUT U HAVE CANCER...U NEVER KNOW U REALLY HAVE CANCER UNTIL U BECOM OLD.. SO IF U GOT A SMOKING HABBIT I SEGEST U STOP IT NOW B4 ITS TOO LATE!!! SORRY DUNT MEAN TO SCAR U... I HOPE DIS HELPS!!**LIL MISS VIXION**What you read is NOT true. Some damage can be reversed but not all. You should speak to your physician about this. Everyone-s body handles smoke differently. You should still quit, just for that reason - you never know. Would you rather die more, or would you rather quit now and give yourself a chance?
You can do it, I have faith in ye.
?ur near to have a cancer u should try to stop smokeing as u say that deadly lever of poison u already have in ur boday ......i think you could never undo the effects of smoking although over a long period of being smoke free does help a lot, some people can even get lung cancer from never even lighting a cigarette(second-hand smoke). However the longer your smoke the higher risk of cancer.cancer is in your dna a person can smoke all there life and never get cancer or a person can never smoke and get it...but even if u dont have the dna for it you can still get it by smoking or other stuff...My friend in Missouri has skoked Marlboro and Camels since Korean war, well over 40 years,he smokes all he wants, usually one and a half paks, about thirty smokes. At 81 he has tapered to 4 or 5 a day,he cuts his yards, tends a garden, builds fence and rents land for horses which he exercises. He is big and healthy and walks the 3 miles to town a few times a week.Onthe other hand,a young man we know in Salt Lake City has smoked about two paks a day as he can afford ,for 6 years,he is plagued by rattling coughs, bad indigestion, cannot walk over 3 city blocks without resting. He is sicker every year and has respiratory distress and elevated heart beat.Healthy smokers are an anomaly,we wonder how healthy our 81 year old friend would be hqd he never smoked. And Chris,he will die at an early age ,sucking on his own decaying lungs and damaged tissues.Cancer is not the issue, never smoking so that you will never have that problem is the answer.Of course ,if the government imprisoned the money glutted cigarette lobby and got serious, there would be no issue.Lung cancer is not caused just by having -deadly toxins- in your body. The development of lung cancer due to smoking can be quite long and complicated. First of all your genetics (family inheretence of genes) can increase or decrease your risk of developing any cancer, including lung cancer. Secondly, the amount of cigarettes and the frequencey that you smoke them will impact the develoment of cancer. Most importantly, since cancer is casued by the accumulation of many insuts to cells in the body, even if you quite the damage may already be there. Or rather, the inital damage may be there and other damage casued by viruses, environment (UV from the sun), foods, etc. may result in the development of lung cancer. Some smokers never get cancer despite the fact that they smoke all of thier lives. Some develop lung cancer at a younger age. The bottom line, is that if you DON-T smoke you will NEVER get cigarette induced lung cancer. Stopping smoking can very well prevent the disease but not a guarantee. If you have only smoked a little bit, your risk is as small as a non-smoker.
