My skin is changing since I have stopped smoking but for worse, why? -
I stopped smoking 5 days ago (and really proud of it!). I feel better everyday!! BUT!!!! I have pink patches on my face!!Is it normal, will my face look better???yes i think it is normal. its what you haven-t seen before. now your looking through the non smokers eyes. congrats on the quit! ask the pharmacist if there is something you can do for it. today is my day 4 for quitting. maybe the 6th attempt, but i am so there now! i have researched everything. if you need to ask any questions, i can give you an excellant website if you want to email me. they can answer all your questions. and i will even look and see if i can find more info and post it as well. congrats again, its not easy. i am proud of you!It-s not your skin that-s changing it-s your eyes that can see clearly for the first time in years. Yes I quit too but I was so ugly a few patches would have helped me out. If they don-t clear up see a dermoskin-doctor!!Maybe because now your getting more oxygen, which is causing the pink patches on your face. Don-t give up you-ll hate yourself if you do. Keep it up. I-ve quit three times and have started back need to quit again. Funny thing when I do quit I cough like mad for the first 2 weeksCongratulations, and yes, whenever you break an addiction, there will be different reactions, and I had a similar reaction, dry skin, and it took months to go away, so hang in there, don-t let any excuse drive you back to smoking, you have not been off long enough to break addiction to nicotine, it will take months, so stick with it and patches will go away.

Well done!
You may be cleansing toxins out of your system. Keep drinking lots of water, at least 8 full glasses a day. If this is your body releasing bad stuff you don-t want to stop your pores up but Cortaid cream would probably quite the redness. If you use it, don-t smear it all over your face, try to dab it on the worst spots very sparingly.
