Stopped smoking 8 months ago? -

I stopped smoking 8 months ago.Every book internet site and tv ads all say the same thing that withdrwals should only last a few week at most.
My question is even after 8 months my body seems to go through a faize of needing something extra.I dont crave for a cigerette as such but its as if my body is still getting used to the idea of not having cigerettes.Does anyone out there still experiance this or am i the unlucky one.If there are any people could you please tell me how you feel.if you join a Smoke cessation group , the facilitator , will be able to answer your questions and ,more, You will be able to find support there and it just May be that you might be able to help others with what you have been through. that is what the groups are all about. Good Luck
P.S. If you cal your local Hos. they would be able to give you then place and times of groups and maybe even connect you to an a facilitator 1You may always have that underlying desire to smoke , its normal. I tried quitting almost ten years ago , it took me another six years to finally do it and i still sometimes want one. I would stop for a while then pick it up again. Smoking is SOOOO addictive that the urge never quite goes away. I am now smoke-free about 3 1/2 years now.my husband stopped smoking 12 years ago and he still want a cigarettes like when is stress, sometimes when he is around other people that are smoking. he said that he is glade he stopped smoking he said he feels better.i wish you the best of luck.
