How do I stop smoking (not a heavy smoker)? -

I-m only 17 so this may sound bad but I really rely on cigarettes! It started probably about a year and a half ago at parties. I would always smoke socially just cos everyone was and I didn-t even smoke properly at first but after a few months I started to smoke more and more at each party I went to. On average I-d be going to one every two weeks and probably have at least 5 at every party. About 6 months ago I had had a huge fight with my brother and stormed out the house and immediately felt like a cigarette and thats when I realised I was hooked! I actually felt really pissed off at myself for letting it become something I needed to relax. I only smoke now about 5 a week so its not like I smoke regulaly, I only do it when I-m stressed or annoyed and I always feel like I need one. How do i break this? I tried just going cold turkey but so many of my friends at college smoke so I-ll just cave and have one too. How do i stop feeling like i need one every time i get a bit frustrated or worriedUnfortunately, you *aren-t* hooked. You-ve merely grown dependent on the calming effect of nicotine. And that will never go away, because it-s not an addiction, it-s a memory of the effect of the drug.

Why do I say unfortunately? Because being hooked is much, much worse. You-ll feel like you need a cigarette *without* being annoyed and stressed -- you-ll *be* annoyed and stressed without reason. There-s a real danger that if you keep on the path you-re on now, you-ll smoke more and more and get to the point where you-re genuinely addicted.Stop smoking is the first step of the process and the most important thing to do is to stay stopped. The strong will power and dedication to your decision will enable you to succeed in the long- term. Stop smoking is commonly considered to be difficult. Psychological and pharmacological aids are available to help people quit smoking, although success rates are relatively low. Stop Smoking is really a tough job. Every smoker wants to quit smoking cigarettes, but finds it difficult to stop smoking.

If you smoke, or someone you care about still smokes, then this may be the most important letter you will ever read, because in less than 3 hours You CAN learn how to Quit Smoking from the comfort of your home, without patches, pills and gums, and, *without gaining any weight or suffering a single major craving

in my opinion, everyone have they own ways ,all it-s takes is will powerIf you only smoke 5 cigarettes a week, you don-t really smoke, dear child. At this level, why do you even want to quit? It isn-t hurting you at that level. Plus, your college years are your prime smoking years. Smoke all you want and enjoy your life. Promise yourself that when you decide to have a bay, you will quit. Until then, don-t worry.im 18 and started smoking at 17 and i understand exactly what your saying, my dad told me every time i crave a ciggarette drink alot of water( i havent tryed it but it might work) sounds like it would , but last week i tryed going with out a ciggarette it lasted four days, but a few days later after the 4 days i didnt smoke i realized that it was when i was occupied with something that i didnt rely on them ( i was playing a new video game and forgot all about them ) wich means !battlefeild bad company can help you quit smoking! just kidding, but seriously , quitting cold turkey is the best way smoke weed insteadWellbutrin
