For most of my life I have been very lucky, I never seemed to put on weight. I stopped smoking just over a year ago, since then I have put nearly a stone. I have tried diets but can never stick to them. Does anyone know any good exercises?Congrats on quitting smoking! I did too! I gained a few pounds as well and Im having the best luck with aerobics. Tennis, not good, just get moving. Walking at least 30 mins a day on the treadmill. Eliptical machine. Even DVD just get moving. I see the most weight coming off my mid area and thighs by doing cardio.Good luck Keep up the good work!aerobic exercise and/or walking is the best way to lose fat. crunches are good too, but as the muscle becomes stronger, you may temporarily look a little bigger in the belly until some of the fat is burned. this is not a great side effect of crunches, but the muscle you will burn will help burn the fat.
