but I am addicted to it, do any of you have any suggestions. Please, no smart *** coments.I want to quit also and have tried -cold turkey-, the patch, the gum, etc. My doc just gave me a prescription for Chantix and after doing some research it looks promising! It-s not an anti-depressant like Zyban was, it works on the receptors in your brain that crave the nicotine to make it easier to quit. It-s expensive, our insurance doesn-t cover it. It-s $125 a month and they suggest you stay on it 12 weeks or longer. The worst side effect I-ve heard about is nausea. I-m going to give it try! Hope you are able to quit! the patch did wonders of breaking the addiction. I only needed it for about a week. The first few days are the hardest. it-s a lot cheaper than the cigarettes in the long run.
decide that you-re a -non smoker- put a patch on, get some jolly ranchers and mints for the -craving-, drink lots of water.

The only side effects I-ve noticed are a little nausea after taking it and waking up with a headache. The side effects are nothing compared to suffering with cancer. Call your Doc and give it a try. Its a new -stop smoking- medicine and it works very well... one side effect is that you have very very vivid dreams, which could be good or bad.smart *** comments? no! here is answer: COLD TURKEY! PEOPLE WHO NEED the patch are cowards and weak willed fools! i smoked for 23 years, 2 packs a day!! and quit cold turkey! know what? I DID NOT HAVE TO SPEND ANY MONEY MAKING THE GREEDY MEDICAL PEOPLE RICH WITH THOSE sill patches and other stupid money making tricks they have! and i have been off them for 15 years, and am healthy again! if i can do it, anyone can! unless they are a weak willed fool who wants to make the medical people rich!
