hi just wondering if its ok to stop smoking instantly without doing any damage ect.. i used to smoke 20+ cigs a day and i havnt had a single one today as im planning to stop totally!!as a substitute i got a niccorette inhalator so will this be ok? i havnt seen my doctor to ask him or anything lolIt should be... smoking hurts you, and if you stop smoking suddenly, then I would think that it would help you!!! lolfor some people it works. It worked for my dad. Some people are just breaking down through it, and start smoking again. It-s only you who know what-s the best way for you :)Yes it is try gum or pads my dad use to smoke but now hes dead it will reduce your chances of having lung cancerI disagree. Cold turkey as a method will make you miserable and you will always have a craving. Nicotine replacement is similarly bad as you are merely changing the form of the drug you are trying to get out of the habit of.
I tried pills, hypnosis, patches, inhaltors, gum, cold turkey - you name it. I managed between days and months but always failed. Then I read the book -The Easyway to stop Smoking-. But I swear you will give up effortlessly. Some people find the -cutting down- method the best way. Say for example you smoke 20 cigs a day. A few days later you drop to 19, a few more days later 18, etc. until you-re down to nothing. But if you feel happier doing it the way you-re doing it, then why not!Mind has lots of power. Sit at a lonely place and go on telling that you hate cigarettes and want to stop smoking and then within a short time you could stop the habit if you really try.Yeah it is the best way to stop instantly. Unlike food you can quit smoking, you can-t quit eating so smoking should be an easier bad habit to quit!
Also increase your Vitamin C intake as this helps with detox from the nicotine.

Another tip, keep writing down I have healthy lungs I love fresh air as this can help your mind to believe you don-t smoke!you had me saying -cold turkey- until the inhalator.
if your gonna stop, stop. dont drag it out with the inahaltor.
