Don-t be reduced for smoking but please totally stop.
You can use candy for forgetting it.i used boots chewing gum can t remember what it is called i have had a few relapses but taking it seriously again i went 2 weeks smoke free then had one and i tell you i felt dirty and horrible. Just try to remember the reasons you are giving up and try keep away from smokers for a while that is where i came unstuck good luck and i promise it gets easier after day 3 if you can get through that you will be oki-m on my third day of not smoking. i am not using any smoking aids but just using willpower alone. i dont believe that nicotine replacement helps much as you are prolonging the time it takes for the nicotine to leave the body. the withdrawal symptoms are over and done with quicker if you just give up with will power alone but they are alot stronger. so it depends if u can cope with a short but strong phase of withdrawal or i longer withdrawal with less intense symptoms.
which ever way you find helps you congratulations on getting this far and good luck for the future. you can do it. iyou have just got to believe in yourself and your ability to do what you want to do with being controlled by a drug.

a good website that i visited a couple of days ago is:
www.gosmokefree.co.uk

it has alot of good tips and information for quitting. also if you look carefully there are leaflets and a giving up smoking 28day calender that you can order for free through the website.

again good luck i wish u well for your smoke free future.i gave up smoking 16months ago after 30 years of smoking, i got patches of the doctor and it only cost the price of a prescription for a months worth, then the best thing was cut a Biro (pen) to the length of a cigarette, then roll a little piece of thin cardboard so it fits down the pen so you can draw on it like a ciggy, then add a couple of drops of Olbas oil don to the cardboard and its like having a ciggy and keeps your chest clear after 12 weeks on the patches i decided to go to work without a patch and i never looked back, the pen thing didn-t last much longer, you may well laugh at this but it did work for me and i really hope it works for you, keep it up don-t let it beat you, if you need any words of encouragement drop me a line, and also take a look at my website at what i can do now with all my energy w w w.lakedistricttreks.moonfruit .com / don-t put any spaces this was the only way it would take it, if you have any problems get in touch. Alani used patches in 1992 they cost about £40 then i have never smoked since after 14 days i stoped using them i dont have the craven for a smoke now lots of luck you can make it.go to a hospice and see the people dying from lung cancer

if that doesnt make you stop nothing willi read somewhere that you should drink lots of orange juice when you are trying to stop smoking....its supposed to help -wash out- the toxins that are in your system from the smoking. so, instead of that next soda...grab a juice! good luckFind somebody else who is an ex-smoker and ask that person to provide moral support when you need it. A group of former smokers would be even better. Smoking is a serious addiction and you will need the help of many to overcome this. But be strong! You can do it!I have no words, just look at this. All these patches, inhalers etc are a wasteof time.
You just need willpower, mind over matter, it-s easy.
I-ve stopped loads of times!!!!! Never for more than a couple of days though.
Hope this helps?anytime you get the urde to light up, google a picture of a smoker-s lungs, a story of a lung cancer patient, or any other visual you can find. Write down all the side effects of smoking, post them everywhere. Cover your cig-s box with black construction paper with a skull and cross bones on them.
Congrats and good luck...I haven-t had a cigarette since 11/23/06.
I didn-t use patches or anything- I just had a chest cold that was sooo bad it hurt to smoke- so I stopped.
If you were to try to smoke now, even after one day of being smoke free, it is going to taste very bad and it is going to hurt like heck.
If you have ever tried before, you know how bad a smoke tastes after you haven-t had one in a while. It will taste bad and hurt worse- just tell yourself that over and over.

Good luck- I know you can do iti would go with gum or gummy bears something fruityI used strong mint candy to take away the urge, also cinnamon.
I used zyban tablets, wellbutrin is the other name for the same product. It was relatively easy took 2 weeks.
I smoked for 30 years, quit 9 years ago. Good luck.try NRT inhalor its just like having a cigarette except you lower the dosage each time and eventually stop. Also, think that after quitting it your body begins to repair.
20 Minutes- Blood pressure drops, temperature of hands and feet increase to normal.
8 hours- Carbon monoxide in blood decreases and drops to normal
24 hours-Chance of heart attack begins to decrease
2 days-Sense of smell and taste improve
2 weeks to 3 months-Circulation improves, lung function increases to 30%
1 to 9 months-Coughing, sinus congestion, fatigue, and shortness of breath decrease; cilia regain normal function in the lungs, increasing the ability to handle mucus, clean the lungs, and reduce infection.
1 year-Risk of heart disease is half that of a smokers
5 years-Risk of stroke decreases to that of a non-smoker
10 years-Risk of dying from lung cancer is half that of a smoker-s. Risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, kidney, and pancreas also decreases
15 years-Risk of heart disease is the same as a non-smokers
Think of the benefits!! and GOOD LUCK!!made up my mind and stopped nothing controls me .............thats one of my goals in life I am in control.Put your mind to it. You mind that the cigs are around. It is mind over matter. Your will over the cost of the product.get support. you much more likely to stop smoking when you have support rather then do it alone. ask the NHS for help on stopping or a health supervisor.Keep the 24hour patch on for 48hour, I did that and I haven-t had a cig since November 2006.Patches are good, But so is Nicotine Gum it keeps you from wanting to eat all the time aswell, As i know alot of people that have put on at least 2 stones when they stopped smoking.Willpower...lots of it. good luck.
