I went to the Dr yesterday and I mentioned that I was thinking about quitting smoking. I-m not a heavy smoker. She said that Wellbutrin would probably be the best for me. I always thought of that as mostly an antidepressant. She said that it was made to be an antidepressant and people were just giving up their smoking habits on it so now it-s also being used as an anti smoking medicine. I am just wondering what side effects people have had on it and if they have had any when getting off of it. I-m on 150mg once a day, and so far it has just made me NOT hungry. For some reason, if I don-t make myself eat, I feel like I could just not eat for days and not be hungry at all. Is it normal for it to be a major appetite suppressant?If you don-t want to read all that, just tell me your experience with Wellbutrin. Thanks!i have depression, and at one point of time, the dr put me on that because on the other antidepressant i was on, i lost my sex drive. she also told me that it would help me lose weight and stop smoking. it actually did nothing for me, still no sex drive, no weight lose, and still smoking. hope this helps. good luck.I am on it, and have been on it for awhile. I have lost weight on it, as it has suppressed my appetite a lot. And you definitely want to take it as early in the morning as possible, as it can cause you to have trouble with sleeping, as I had to learn the hardway when I first started taking it. It takes about 2-4 weeks to get used to the side affects of the medication.But alot of people have had great success with it!

It is suppose to help decrease your cravings to smoke. I was smoking at the time, and it did decrease my cravings. But, I also felt like I was on crack cocaine or something.go to www.mydoctor.com and look it up on the internet.My daughter is taking some tablet to stop smoking and now has gone 9 weeks without a cigarette and is fine
