My vision was crystal clear before my 4 month stint of smoking a quarter bag a day.I soon grew sick of that lifestyle and i stopped weed cold turkey.That was four months ago and I still have strange vision issues.Its like my brain is trying to view objects that are far away but at the same time my eyes are wanting to focus on objects that are up close.thats the only way I can describe it.Well I-ve never smoked weed but it is probably some sort of withdrawal symptom, considering you quit -cold turkey.- I would maybe see a doctor and explain your symptoms and have your eyes checked out just to see what-s going on.I smoke weed and know what you-re talking about. You just need to learn to control that. Now I have the ability to control my pupils, and dilate them when on demand, and you probably do too. If you are looking at something and it-s blurry, bring it into focus. Expand/Restrict your pupil.

I smoked it regularly for 10 years, though not as much as you. I never noticed any visual effects. But the first thing you need to do is see an eye doctor. You don-t have to tell them what you think is wrong, just describe the symptoms and let them examine your eyes. There could be something else going on.yeah i have i swear my vision has gone! ahah i went from like all day everyday to three weeks without it YOU KNOW HOW HARD THAT IS anyway yeah its normal im feeling it but it goes away its just the way your mind is perceiving things because of the weeeeed your mind is fuuuukked up ahahI should expect his is down to you not smoking enough erb.
Roll a phatty and see if that helps.
DO you have a history of glaucoma in your family?
Might be that you are developing it but the erb was fixin it for you, does that you know.

Thank you and good day.Easy? Ha Ha There are no easy ways. You put them down and don;t pick them up again. The hard part is what comes next. You have to change your mindset, be determined, not think about smoking, find other things to keep you occupied, at first you have to stay away from smokers because you become a bummer instead of a buyer. Whatever you can do for yourself, such as go for a walk, talk to people, go to smoke free environments, really taste your food and like the way you smell, smoke free. Love nature and yourself, your health. The best way really that works is put them down and don-t ever take another puff. Good luck. Remember when you first started smoking? You choked and coughed, but you were determined to smoke, You patted youself on the back every time you smoked.
Well now you do almost the same thing to stop.
The first week for one day you do not smoke, you pat yourself on the back constantly for not smoking,
The next week for two day-s you do not smoke, you pat yourself on the back constantly for not smoking.

The type and quantity smoked by any particular person is no indication of their level of addiction or not.

Those people who tell you that they just stopped and you have no willpower if you can not, were never addicted.

If you are addicted, try everything. Give each method time to work.

I know people who have stopped with the patch. Not me.
I know people who have stopped with the gum. Not me.
I know people who have stopped with Wellbutrin. Not me.
I know people who have stopped with hypnosis. That next on my list.

but i helped my grandpa come up with a way

count how many smokes you do in a day.
Write that number down on a post it and stick it somewhere youll see it often.


then every other day try to do 2 less smokes a day. so for a week do 2 less, then 2 less and then 2 less everyother day for a week.

And then for the week after that just smoke the same amount you did yesterday(the last 2 less). And do that number for a week.

Switch off every other week. doing the 2 less, and then not doing the two less every other week. and every other day on every other week smoke 2 less.

Then every time you do 2 less and can do it for a whole week (the day where you just got done with the 2 less week and now your doing a straight week of the last 2 less) and write the number of smokes you did and put the number on a postit and stick it next to the old one. Keep doing this till the 2 less brings you down 2 0(to zero).Quit buying cigarettes and get rid of anything that can remind you of them. Put the money you would have spent on them in account or something. If you crave them just remeber you can save over $8000 a year by not smoking.quit, cold turkey, I did, been 2 years now.

I smoked for 15 years some times three packs a day.
Stay away from drinks with alcohol.
If that fails try buying the worst tasting smokes you can find and put in your shirt pocket when you want one smoke that soon you will come to know how nasty the smokes you have are and will help you say no. GOOD LUCK Worked for me.Get cancer and die works great

My bf is 24 and has mild emphysema as he-s been smoking for over 10 years, smoking once /hr or so.

He keeps trying to stop and now he-s into smoking black - milds, ...i think he-s doing this because he feels like he wants to quit but doesnt want to feel guilty when he does smoke, so he just gets one smoking-item instead of going through several, despite that he-s still smoking the same amount of tobacco, etc...

anyway, I bought him the -Easy way- audio book and I was thinking of giving it to him with some cigarettes.

I thought about doing this for 2 reasons.
1. the book encourages you to not feel deprived of having cigarettes and says you can even smoke while listening to the CD

2. though the book allows for cigarette smoking, I doubt he-ll actually give in and buy a pack bc he-ll feel guilty....so I want to help him get out of this mental rut associated with trying to quit so he can do so w/o feeling deprived....so, I-ll just provide them

IF YOU KNOW ABOUT THE -Easy Way- do you think that providing him with the cigarettes will be a good idea? or do you not think that it will have any effect?

I came out of an eating disorder not too long ago and learned that self-deprivation sometimes can make quitting a bad habit worse.....so I really want to help him out since he seems a bit conflicted with his situation.

Everyone has their own way of stopping.
That is no more true than in Drugs.
And obv cig-s are drugs so...
Let him find his own way.
The idea of an audio book is ok.
But if it doesnt work don-t stop trying.
It just takes something small to click inside a smokers ideology about smoking to get the right message.Ah mate, for all the smokers, and now non smokers, that I know (a brave few), there isn-t one that said -Right, im not smoking after today, and that-s it!!- And actually did it.
It takes a good few tries, some people I know even had about 6 tries giving up smoking in their lives so far. ^.^

For most of my life I have been very lucky, I never seemed to put on weight. I stopped smoking just over a year ago, since then I have put nearly a stone. I have tried diets but can never stick to them. Does anyone know any good exercises?Congrats on quitting smoking! I did too! I gained a few pounds as well and Im having the best luck with aerobics. Tennis, not good, just get moving. Walking at least 30 mins a day on the treadmill. Eliptical machine. Even DVD just get moving. I see the most weight coming off my mid area and thighs by doing cardio.
Good luck Keep up the good work!aerobic exercise and/or walking is the best way to lose fat. crunches are good too, but as the muscle becomes stronger, you may temporarily look a little bigger in the belly until some of the fat is burned. this is not a great side effect of crunches, but the muscle you will burn will help burn the fat.
