If I stop smoking, will I live longer? -

If I stop smoking, will I live longer? -

Chances are yes. Your lungs will be cleaner and healthier. Plus you will be free of all other implications connected to smoking. You are a wise person to think that way. Good luck.of course..stop stop stop! are you still smoking?YES! my mom was just diagnosed with copd...dont know what it stands for but its bad and deadly and shes only 48....Yep! You will also age better, smell better, have more money and enjoy your food more.Yes and you-ll feel much healthier too.yesThat-s the theory, just don-t step in front of a fast moving Chevy !Stop smoking..drinking and chasing women.
You wont live to be a hundred...but it will certainly feel like it.Generally yes, but some people still live a long time even though they smoke. It-s definately safer to quit rather than take a chance with your health like that.not has long has there are buses on the road !Let me put it this way.. if you stop smoking, you will not die sooner. But it does not mean you will live longer!Nobody can answer that. When you-ve got to go, you-ve got to go!You will not only live longer but, more importantly, your life will be pleasanter because you will be healthier. Lung cancer is only one of the diseases that you may get if you smoke but almost certainly you will end up with one of the cardiac and/or respiratory diseases. This means that you will find it more difficult to breathe properly and you will be at risk of various lung conditions such as emphysema which will inhibit your breathing and your mobility because you won-t have enough breath to walk far. You may still live for quite a long time but a good deal of it will be unpleasant and painful. Nicotine can also cause tumours in any part of the body. Smoking affects your skin and your hair so that any money you spend on your looks will be wiped out because of the effect of smoking.I gave up 12 weeks ago, I am hoping I will live longer! The answers yes, provided you don-t get hit by a bus tommorrow, then just smoke like a chimney. No, you are going to be killed by a meteor on March 12, 2017.

dose any of the damage that it caused to your lungs repair it-s self or is that it?You cannot undo all the harm that 25 years smoking has done, but a lot of it will heal in time and, of course, by stopping now you prevent further damage! You repare some - but it takes years!!!
But it-ll be worth it - need to give myself that advice!!The body will repair most of the lung tissue, but the process is very slow. The general rule of thumb is that if you smoke for 10 years, it will take your body 10 years to fully recover from the damage.it dose repair it self but slowly.Your lungs begin to repair damage immediately, ditto with your heart. It will take a while, but keep at it, and keep up aerobic exercise to expand lung capacity and efficiency.

Still, the smoking may have done permanent damage to tissue, leading to irreversible empheseyma or genetic mutations leading to cancer. But, the sooner the better on these too.yes!! i quit in january and i feel great. no more headaches, tiredness and my skin looks better! this is an excellent site...

YOU-D SAVE ALOT OF MONTH THAT-S FOR SUREi just read an advert in the doctors office today about the benefits of quitting smoking. it takes years for your lungs to fully repair but getting healthy comes in strides. check out this website, it has lots of info. www.nicotine-anonymous.org/it depends I think on how long you smoked for, what age you were when you started and how any you smoked a day.i dont smokingif you havnt smoked for long, there will be little or no damage to your lungs. on the other hand, if you smoked for many years, your lungs are damaged and you cant change themSome of the answers sound good, but I don-t think your lungs can be repaired to any great extent. Once you-ve done the damage, that-s it ! ! !i would ask my dad but he died a year after quitting fags

he smoked all of his 65 yrs never remember him being ill
if that-s any consolation . no hanging around geriatric homes
or hospitals either as it turned out. a silver lining on a cloud
i think.Well yes , its not too late, but you really need to do it Nowwwwwwwwwwwww, unless you just want to be another statistic, and remember a lot of Hospitals are refusing to treat people like you nowadays. Also i lost my Father aged 62
sorry if you think thats old but i think its very young ppl like him are Fools.
