You can-t make anyone do anything.

You can only encourage someone to stop for their health and the benefit of the people around them.You can-t MAKE someone stop, they have to want to stop.No one has the power in them to make someone stop. This is hard to do even when someone really wants to quit.

If I were in his shoes, I-d smoke.
