i will take medications ( i cant take anti-depressants though) patches gum inhalers loungenes whatever the shot just give me a expierience and how it worked for you are professional med advice i need to quit asap and i cant i just need to know the cost and quickest way to rid cravings i heard of a new drug not approved by the fda yet but works wonders is this tru please help me i need my wind back i used to box and think i am finally ready after my physical theropy and know i shouldnt of started but depression is hell my bad but please help i love boxing and i want to be a boxer againThe Patch was the most effective for me! Increasing the will-power : Our mind has a great effect on these glands. For example, continuous fear damages the Pituitary gland and makes one timid. I started taking it 2 weeks ago and completely quit smoking (even though I was down to only 1 a day for about a year) for 6 days now. Only side effect is some vivid dreams. Still chew nicotine gum during the day, but I divide the 2mg piece into 3 parts, so it-s only .6 mg.it is called champix , i started it 5 days ago and have gone from 20+ a day to 7- a day which i am really made up with. fingers crossed this time next week it will be 0 a day.I-ve heard the success rate is about 20% which is pretty good. I-d be afraid if getting hooked on that instead though. A gal I work with used it to quit, and I thought she would never quit.I used this and it is amazing! I didn-t have vivid dreams and I chewed regular sugarfree gum, but the nicotine gum is going to make you still addicted to it. In a small saucepan boil some water along with any kind of tea you like. Undo the contents of three cigarettes and add only the tobacco contents also in the tea. Did you ever hear stories of men that chew tobacco and have swallowed it b4. They got really sick. yukIf I was a smoker, I would definitely try this before any conventional means of quitting, like using nicotine patches. It sounds like some good holistic healingI may be wrong about this but as far as I am aware ingesting tobacco is a far more efficient way of administering nicotine than burning it and inhaling it.
If this does work its likelt because the water is full of nicotine which susbsequently gets absorbed in the GI tract. If you then subsequently smoke a cigarette it could make you feel crap and sick because you system could have an unusually high level of nicotine!

This sounds like a form of therapy which may work from association because the effects of smoking become so unpleasant it puts people off enough to ignore the cravings until they go away.

This may work, but I-m sure if people did this for 3 days and tried to have a smoke a week later they wouldn-t throw up.

I would urge caution to anyone trying this. Ingesting tobacco can cause a fatal overdose of nicotine.

My dad has stopped smoking cold-turkey for health reasons and is experiencing nicotine withdrawal symptoms and he can not have things like the patch because he can not have nicotine in his body at all. What are some ways to help him- like are there over the counter calming aids that don-t add nicotine to the body- or gum chewing, fake smoking, herbs?Peppermints... Dont know what it is in them... but something about the mint flavor...
