There is just nothing better to do.Follow these rules (smoking) :1. Throw all of your cigarrettes. (It costs money)
2. Don-t follow peer pressure to smoke.

(how to lose weight)
1. DON-T DRINK ALCOHOL, SODA, ETC. THAT HAS ALOT OF SUGAR!!!!
2. Eat right. Stop eating alot of junk
3. Avoid fried food.If your friends are truly good people, you can just stop and they-ll accept it. If they ask about it, you can say that you-re trying to make healthy changes in your life, including losing weight, and stopping smoking and drinking will help in that. Mention that it doesn-t change how you feel about them and that you don-t care if they do it. Keep spending time with them, show them that just because you don-t do it anymore doesn-t mean that you want them to stop. If they turn you out over a choice you make for your life, then they are NOT friends, they are NOT good people, and you-ll be better off.I understand you say that they-re good people and I believe you, but if they don-t want to be you friends because you want to quit extremely bad habit(s) then they aren-t really your friends. As a way to quit keep out of the way of temptation for the drinking and as for the smoking try gum or the patch. Think about whats best for your health, you can always make new friends but you can-t heal your body in such a way. I wish you the best (make the right choices). Also there is something better to do, your mind just won-t take the time to think of something. Break a bad habit(s) and find something you enjoy to do that keeps you out of the way of temptation (find a hobby). Good luck!Just stop. As for when you-re with your friends, so you don-t feel too weird...
Smoking - you can just say you-re not up for it when anyone offers it to you. Remember that it-s so bad for you... not to mention, it smells.
Drinking - just take your own (non-alcoholic) drink when you-re hanging out with your friends. Water, soda, whatever.
If your -friends- are really your friends, they won-t care if you don-t smoke - drink with them. They should like you for who you are without all that. =)Explain to your friends exactly what you just told us. Tell them you don-t want to do it anymore and you-re trying to lose weight. When your friends understand and get on your side, it-ll be 100 times easier to quit. Good luck! :)the truth is you have to tell them about your plan.
if they don-t coorerpate then you have to find new friends that understnad.Try this about smoking

Good LuckJust stop, and stand behind your decision. It they really are -good people- as you say. they will support your decision. If not you really don-t need to surround yourself with them.
