Will I gain weight is I stop smoking...IF...? -

I have just quit smoking and if I do not increase my intake of food will I still gain weight. I ate around 1500 calories a day but I also smoked heaps so if I continue eating 1500 a day and not smoking will I gain? Will my metabolism slow down?
Hi...it is now thought to be a fallacy that weight gain is a normal outcome of giving up smoking.
If you do not replace smoking with food there is no reason why you will gain weight.

And well done on making this decision!!!the reason people gain weight when they stop smoking is because they replace it with eating. If you are a nervous person and stop smoking and eat no more you should lose weight as you burn off that nervous energy.Only if you replaces your smoking habit with an eating habit. Lots of people smoke when there nervous or worried, then quit smoking and starting eating instead. You will gain weight if you eat more. Smoking has nothing to do with that. Haven-t you ever seen an overweight smoker before?no never you will feel more healty run around more do more work and burn more callories

it wont make a difference
