Not happy, I am 38 and now have stopped smoking, and gained 30lbs. and only in one spot, what to do??? -
I stoped smoking on Jan. 2nd. of this year and I have become an absolute HOG!!!! All of my weight has gone directly to my belly, I look like my father UGGH. Well some of it has also gone to my face 2 chins now. I normally weighed 140 to150 on average and am 5-10-, and what do I do to get rid of this? My waist has stayed the same 33-, but the belly is not the same as before, please give good information on what I will need to do to remove this.Do the following yogic exercises everyday and become perfect in all aspects and stay healthy whole throughout your life.1. Arathamathesendrasan (reduces the folds on the side)
2. bhujangasan ( reduces the fat - creases on the back)
3. halasan ( flexes the muscles - reduces the creases)
4. dhanurasan ( flexes the muscles - reduces the creases)
5. sarvangasan ( controls the whole body to perfection)
6. mathsyasan ( increases the chest - reduces the stomach)
7. nauli kriya ( the best for stomach)
8. mayurasan ( very difficult but best for the belly )
9. bhastrika pranayanam ( breathing exercise, very best and must as this controls BP, prevent lung diseases, increases the brain power, will never get cough or cold and controls your anger and other violent emotions, brings in crimson complextion to the face etc, etc)
10. sevasan. ( This is the last exercise and this removes all the stress and strain of all the above exercises )
Do all these exercises every day in the morning before breakfast and after nature calls because both your stomach - intestines should be empty while you do this . Do it regularly for 1 month with confidence and see the magicNot sure I think 150 is too skinny for a 5 10- man... you might actually look good with the weight... i think with the money you are saving on not smoking you should treat urself to a gym. Work out and have fun!try hydroxycut or relacore. The obvious answer is, drum roll, eat less and exercise more. But if it were that easy everyone would be thin. Just so you know, same thing happened when I quit smoking two years ago. And I just started doing something about it in early January. There-s a great free site called www.fitday.com. Check it out. Totally valuable if you-re looking to lose some weight. Track what you eat there, track your weight, and see where all your calories are coming from. It-s great to be able to see exactly what is causing you to get fat. Then cut out the junk food. Walk more, hit the gym a couple times a week and the weight WILL come off.Nicotine speeds up metabolism, so when you quit your metabolism slows a bit. Make an effort to do some daily exercise to keep your metabolism efficient - brisk walk for 20 mins, take the stairs, dance, sport, move, move....
Stop substituting food for smoking. If you have to put things in your mouth, make them healthy - small amounts, often and...healthy, like plain water, salads and fruit. Cakes, cookies, sweets, white bread, sodas are a no no!
Some smokers have underlying reasons they smoked, and if you think you need to fix that, such as rewarding yourself with food to cover up hurt feelings, low confidence, bordom, peer pressure, etc, then get some help there. Some suggestions are: meditation, yoga, new hobby, learn a skill. Look for local classes, which also gives you the benefit of meeting new people to make friends with.

GOOD LUCK!if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet with Herbalife after a friend who had lost weight with them recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so fairly easily. There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. You also a get e free complete health consultation with the samples, I think I just paid the postage, but for what I got it was well worth it.
I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. The owners will advise you on what to purchase depending on what you want to lose, my sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months. The website is www.myhealthabc.com. You just leave your details and they call you up, I would suggest that if you aren’t sure or don’t want someone to ring you then go to their main site www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. This is what I did before I went to the first site and left my details so they could contact me. You can see with all the products and detail they have, so you know that they mean business. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.I quit in August, and have gain about 20 pounds, I walk every day and have just cut out candy, sweets, and soda.(2 weeks ago) Give yourself some time then cut down on the food, It is a good idea to do some sort of busy work I made knit hats and gave 8 of them to the Salvation Army-s Angel tree at Christmas time, so it was a benefit to someone else. Do puzzles or take up knitting, a lot of men are doing that now.
Another way to not eat so much is to brush your teeth when you get eating urges, you get that oral gratification, and no one wants to eat with freshly brushed teeth.Sweetie, You know what to do...get some exercise.
