Anyone else trying to stop smoking? -

Anyone else trying to stop smoking? -

ive been taking the champix tablets for 9 days,im still smoking 40 a day, i was under the impression id stop after a week, or at least have cut down, i feef as though they are a waste of time.has anyone else used champix.me my mom and sister are.

The first week you can smoke like you normally do! Trust me, cause it takes a while to get into your system and help you!

Here is an easy plan that helped me and my sister and mom!

you have to start out by:
Week 1: 40 are ok. perfectly fine.
Week 2: -5 cigarettes = 35
Week 3: same as # 2
Week 4: -5 more = 30
Week 5: Same as #4
Week 6: -5 more -25
Week 7: Same as #6
Week 8: Same as # 6
Then Go to CONTROL MODE!
Only pick certain hours and times of the days in the week to smoke.
*We choose 5 a day every other day!*
Week 9: -5 = 20

Get it?

:) GOOD LUCK!That-s Chantix .... I quit on Sept 5th ... and haven-t touched a cigarette since . I-m feeling lousy because my system is cleaning out . I cough a lot . I have COPD and needed to quit ... I-m honestly just beginning to breathe better .
I went from 50 cigarettes a day to 8 a day over a period of 2 1/2 years . I finally got sick of trying to cut back and quit cold turkey . I was crabby for over 2 weeks but I-ve been smoking for 45 years .
My doctor says i-ll be cleaning out for about a year . Truth is ,I wish I never smoked . Now I have to live with lung disease for the rest of my life . But I have now quit , have no desire to smoke and will be able to get as healthy as possible.
I hope you make it before you get lung disease ... good luck to you . It is not easy but it is worth it .the tablets are not going to make you stop, YOU are the only thing that will make you stop.
They are just there to help you.
I woke one morning coughing my guts up as usual, out in the cold for a smoke and thought what the hell am i doing to myself?, i-ve not smoked since and used lozenges to help with the cravingsYes

In some people it takes longer to work. Give it a chance. You may have to use for six months instead of three. See the section on their web site for people who keep smoking. And keep in mind this isn-t entirely automatic! Follow their instructions about dosage and smoking precisely. The pills just make it easier to stop smoking, they don-t *make* you stop doing it. You do that yourself. The nicotine replacement products only work in combination with willpower etc. I gave up 12 years ago from a 50 a day habit to zero overnight, with help from patches.patches work for me try themone of the withdrawl symptoms I got when I gave up was heart burn and acid reflux
