Give me some reasons why i should stop smoking? -

i-ve been smoking cigarettes for 2 years now and i want to stop help me........ give me some reasons to help me just give it up........To avoid getting:
Lung cancer which would require surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and all the horrible side effects of those treatments. It has a very poor survival rate because it spreads to the rest of your body too quickly.

Throat cancer which requires the same as Lung Cancer for treatment and could result in you having your vocal chords removed so you have to talk through a machine the rest of your life.

Mouth cancer which also requires the same treatment as lung cancer but also can be very disfiguring to your face and is extremely painful.

Emphysema which results in slow deterioration in your ability to breath. You will end up on oxygen therapy and as the disease progresses you will require more and more oxygen but eventually the oxygen will not help much. You will spend a few years progressively gasping for breath more and more and will die from it.

Your clothing and breath smelling like smoke.

The gradual damage to your other organs including the brain, heart, and generally circulatory system.

Your babies having health problems due to you smoking during pregnancy.1. Lung Cancer, Skin Cancer, Throat Cancer, Mouth Cancer, etc. That-s serious stuff.

2. You are going to look AT LEAST 10 years older than you are...probably more... Do you want to be 35 or 40 and look like your 60??

3. If you smoke a pack a day and spend, maybe, 5 bucks on that pack that-s 35 bucks a week. That-s 140 dollars a month. You could do a lot with that money. A lot.

4. You could be killing the people around you with second hand smoke. That can be harmful to anybody you come in contact with. There is also such a thing as third hand smoke which is the smell of smokers clothes and such. So even if you smoke outside away from everybody, you could still be affecting them.

5. Better now than later. The sooner you stop the sooner you can save yourself. Smoking for only 2 years is not as bad as some people who have been doing it their whole lives.

There are lots of websites that can help you, that have recently come up as more people are trying to quit. I-m sure you-ve seen those tobacco commercials of the animated dancers or the babies on the street or -Who has what it takes to be a tobacco exec?-. I-m sure if you googled quitting smoking many websites will pop up. There is also a nicotine patch that gradually steps you down from the nicotine addiction so it eases the stress of quitting cold turkey.

You can do it! Hope this helps!1...Multiply what you spend each week on cigarettes by 52, then decide what you could buy or where you could go with that amount of money instead of burning it up in your lungs.
#2...Visit the lung cancer ward of your hospital or go to visit a lung cancer Dr. and ask if you can see some pictures of lungs damaged by smoking.
#3...Ask a non smoker that you respect, to tell you honestly what your breath, hair and clothing smells like.
#4...Look at the skin of a healthy woman between age 40 and 50. Then, look at the skin of a smoker who is the same age. Do you want skin that looks like that?My ex just died of cancer on the throat. First they made a hole and he could no longer talk. Then a cancerous tumor appeared which couldn-t be taken out. According to some eyewitness there was a bad odor coming from the hole no matter how much he cleaned it. He endured five years of pain and radiation before he died.

As for myself, I never smoked but have been diagnosed with COPD. I attribute this to the second hand smoking I had to endure.better look for a reason why you should continue smoking and I-m pretty sure that you won-t find any
