I highly recommend this program to you.It really works. You can check out

Good luck!get support, tell as many people possible you are quitting so that where ever you are someone can help remind you to stop smoking etc Patches are highly recommended, i wish you the best of luck, well done for beginning to quit and Good luck in the BMX competition!i smoked for 30 yrs to stop i read a book called the easy way to stop smoking by Alan Carr . but you must read the book and finish it and you must understand what is being said to you if you understand what you read you wouldn-t smoke again .there is no scare tactics used just common sense try itSimple will power.
All the patches and gum in the world won`t help if you don`t have will power :-)Many people think that it is difficult to stop smoking, or that one needs all sorts of technical help, such as patches, nicorette gum etc. etc.
That is only for weak characters and those who are regularly manipulated by advertisement, media and pressure groups.
For the strong ones it is very simple, since all our actions are controlled by the brain.
If you want to stop smoking, and make that a clear order from your brain, you can stop. As simple as that. Will power is the strongest power we have. But only few really use it regularly.
I used to smoke (pipes and cigars) quite heavily for 22 years, and I enjoyed my pipe as a helper for thinking and getting inspirations.
Then one day I decided to stop. I just had enough and felt I could think without tobacco. From one day to the other, with no preparation, no support programme, no medication or technical help I stopped. Just stopped, because I wanted it.
That was more than 8 years ago. I have never smoked again, do not ever miss it, nor have any cravings.
It is all up to you, to do what you really want.Just quit cold turkey....whoever is buying them for you explain to them that you are done and refuse them. You WILL go through withdrawals, but stay tough, you are young and need to kick this habit NOW!!!its not the breathing in the competition you should be scared of, its the lung cancer and heart attack you could get one day.i smoked for 28 years and have stopped if i can do it anyone can. just remember those mind-crippling withdrawal symptoms wont last for ever i don-t know why nicotine replacement should be for over 18s it cant be as harmful as fags nor dose it harm people around you....give it a go. good luckthe doctor is the only one who can get u them i-m afraid..
or go to the stop smoking clinic.. problem is due to your age and it might have an effect on your growing..
best advice is to go cold turkey.. everytime you want to smoke eat a bit of fruit.. or have a jar, and put the money in that
i still smoke, need to give up also, but i have to do it when i won-t be stressed out.. so i-ll do it when i go away later in the year or try..
basically the first 3 days are the worst.. last time i just slept .. and slept.. lazy i know but different things work for different people.
your motivation in your case is that competition..
avoid doing things you would normally do when smoking , e.g. drinking coffee
drinking plenty of water helps also for some reason.NRT is not licensed for people under the age of 18. However, some doctors will prescribe NRT to young people who are having difficulty stopping smoking. This is because the risks of smoking outweigh the potential risks of NRT.If it says that you have to be 18, some stores might not let you buy the patches since you are only 16.To stop smoking YOU have to decide to STOP.
You should not yet be badly addicted, so whatever method you use only WILL-POWER will work.
The nicotine patch is just as bad for addiction as the cigarette. you are only cutting out the tar.
So just STOP.
I did after smoking heavily for 50 years !!
Good luck.Only people 18 and over are allowed to legally buy cigarettes, which is probably why the patch lists 18 as an age. If you are smoking at your age I don-t see why you cant use the gum OR patches. Definitely don-t smoke while you are using either method.
Or you could just quit cold turkey. Smoking is a disgusting habit and the sooner you quit the better off you-ll be.
