Ok My dad is 43 years old and he smokes quite a lot a day not sure how many im 15 i see him every week-end, But i want him to stop smoking it scaring me now because i can tell how it is affecting him so can any one give me some idea-s please on how to make him stopThank youAll you can say:-dad I won-t come over again:second hand smoking is as bad as smoking itself-.
And I do not want to get lunge cancer.

I know how hard it is -- I watched my Mom continue to smoke after she was told it was going to kill her within five years. But you just have to live with it and remember that most smokers don-t get these diseases and that of thsoe who do many get them at a ripe old age, like my own dad, who smoked 3 packs a day and died of COPD at 86.Don-t threaten him or make him feel guilty. Neither of those tactics will work. You CAN tell him you would like him to quit for HIS sake and hope that he listens. But don-t be disappointed if he can-t or won-t quit. You cannot tell a smoker anything new that they haven-t already heard. You can continue to love your dad and if he does try to quit, be supportive.Well, tell him all about what bad things smoking can do to him. Tell him that you don-t love him anymore, and you never will until he stops smoking. Tell him how he is a bad example for you because he is smoking. Tell him that he will die very soon.
