How can I lose a stone in weight ? -

I stopped smoking 3 months ago and started cycling (and I mean real cycling, pushing HARD) the 8 miles to work through Central London meaning 16 miles a day. I have two slices of medium wholemeal toast (165 cals) for breakfast, 2 smoked salmon sandwiches on wholemeal bread for lunch. I eat 600g of grapes for nibbles after lunch and have a balanced meal with chicken breast (no carbs, just broccoli and carrots) for dinner which is never more than 400 cals. I DO have a couple of bags of Hula Hoops during the day too (350 cals) - LOL - but surely the blubber around my tummy should be disappearing. I-ve just turned 40, I-m 5-10-, I-m in proportion and weigh 13.5 stones.

Where am I going wrong ?It-s harder to lose weight once you-re 40 (sorry!) and also once you stop smoking, although the health benefits of that far outweigh being a slim smoker!! Try to eat a bigger breakfast, i.e. half a cantaloupe melon followed by 2 slices of toast, snack mid-morning on an apple or a banana or a fruit salad, drink LOADS of water during the day, and continue with the rest of your diet which sounds perfectly healthy (other than the 2 bags of Hula Hoops, which contain so much saturated fat it-s unbelievable). If you want crisps, try Walkers Lites or Go Aheads (which taste like and have the texture of McCoys but with about a quarter of the fat!). Also try doing stomach crunches and other abdominal exercises in the early morning and evening. Plus eating the right foods.it will be thatmore difficult because smoking supresses ya appite plus with out offence ya age means ya motabolisium is not as strong but i lost weight cause some told me that 75%of the time ya hungry ya actaully thirsty the trick is to eat litytle and offten never eat till ya full n never eat after 6pm i also suggest layin of carbs ie pasta potato snacks n potatoes in genral n bread believe me it works i lost a stone in 3 weeks but i dance alot n i dont me like dance lessons just messin about it works good luck xIts quite easy and also comes within budget...
Well if you want to lose weight, I suggest that you should drink lots and lots of water and green leafy vegetables of your choice this will make you feel full and will help you to drop appetite and inturn, you-ll not only lose weight but also your complexion and your skin would be benifited a lot. I also recommend yoga, aerobics or any light exercise you-re comfortable with.

bread and hula hoops have lots of salt.
Drink lots of water , at least 6-8 glasses per day.
that should sort out your one stone.Drink at least 2litres of water per day - try up to fpour, as this flushes toxins out of your body, lots of veg - rather than bread for lunch try a salad instead, and cut out potatoes and pasta for a while too - you-ll soon see the difference!!!cut out the hula hoops!!! and replace with a hoola hoop, be great for trimming that waist!!!!You might want to try calorie counting, and see exactly how much you are eating in a given day. Keep a food journal, or try a website like www.calorie-count.com

The reason for this is, if you cycle that much, and you don-t eat enough, you might not lose the weight because your body goes into -starvation mode-. This does not mean that you are STARVING yourself, just that your body has gone into a state of shock (if you burn far too many calories than you consume, your body will not let go of fat reserves, because it will think that you are starving and have to survive - I know, it sounds crazy). You should not have a deficit of more than 500-700 calories a day. Also, men should eat at least 1600 cals a day (1200 for women). If you eat that much, AND exercise on top of that (say, burn 500 calories), that means you only have 1100 calories for your body to work on! That is not enough. So make sure that you are eating enough for the amount of exercise you are doing. You have to have a deficit of 3500 cals in a week to lose 1-2lbs.

On the other hand, you might be doing everything right, and you just have to be patient. I know that many people say you have to give a new diet / exercise plan about 3 months, to start seeing REAL results. Also, try to incorporate weight training - you will start seeing a massive difference. Join a gym and get a personal trainer.

Remember, it-s not about quick fixes, it-s about a lifestyle change. Keep at it!Acid. If you eat acidic food, you will be fat. Fats are archived acid. Your body must maintain its pH value. Everyday you eat more acidic food and drink than alkaline so your body must remove th acid in your body or else you become a concentrated acid bottle.

You will notice some radical changes soon, very soon, if you stick at it. It will all change given time, don-t lose hope, keep at it. Maybe drop one of the bags of Hula Hoops!sounds like a pretty healthy diet. i dont eat after tea on a night, which helps you waken up with a flatter stomach - not actual weight loss but it looks better! try specific stomach toning exercises...sit ups and the like. go to a gym and ask for some advice and examples. good luck :-)this won-t work! you have to go to the gym for some efects! and geez, you eat chicken breasts???? you pervert!!!LoL:P:P:P:D:D:D:))
