how can I cope? I dont want to start again but I dont know what to do! will I ever feel better and healthier?Yeah, it-s going to be a rough week. Just tough it out. Your body is coughing out all the crap that it is used to having in its lungs. It can feel like a really bad cold. When you get past this, you-ll be healthier than you were two weeks ago. You-ll get rid of that smoker-s cough and actually be able to breathe again. In another month, you-ll be able to smell better too (I meant your sense of smell, but I guess your odor will improve too.)Let me take a second to warn you: This is a constant battle. I used to think that people who were -alcoholics who have been sober for five years- were full of crap and fully recovered, but they are right--the problem doesn-t go away. I quit smoking for over two years, had a bad weekend and bought a pack to get by, and became a smoker all over again. Don-t have another cigarette! Ever!Yes, you will feel better! You are going through withdrawl. I felt like crap when I quit and it is just part of the process but well worth it!! Just keep pushing on and don-t give up. You CAN do it!!Control yourself. After few months the temptation will go off. Have some fennel seed coated sweets when you feel warmed! I was a chain smoker for 15 years and my will power helped me to get out out of this habit. Now I-d completed 5 successful years, and never again. Feeling is good now..Stop going for parties for few months, where you get tempted again.Stay the course...and read this often:
What happens after you quit smoking...

I wish you the best of luck!best thing you have done is giving up that s**t keep going u will feel better also take up some regular exerciseDEFINITELY........ You are not going to die from a horrible lung disease now, if you keep it up !!!!! If you really have a problem fighting the craving, buy some nicotine - gum and reduce this slowly, day by day. Best is to seek advice from your GP/ District Nurse, if really you cannot cope..........WELL DONE so far, Good Luck.You-ll be fine! You will feel better and you will feel healthier I promise. You just need to go through the withdrawls. Everytime you want to smoke, drink something (alcohol probably not the best thing when stopping another addiction). Water, juice, milk, soda, ANYTHING! Or go participate in some activity that does not allow you to smoke, like going to see a movie with friends. Go jogging if you are feeling antsy. But I promise you will be fine! You will fell better soon you are going through the withdrawal stage , persevere it will be so worth it and you should feel so proud of yourself ..
Good Luck !! Think of all the money you`re saving ..An amazing thing has happened to me. I have smoked for 40yrs
like most smokers l knew it wasn-t doing me any good, and have
tried on previous occassions to quit, with the help of nicotine gum
and patches,to no avail.Last Thursday I was browsing the Amazon
site looking for a particular book (nothing to do with smoking) I found a book and CD by Paul Mckenna titled - Quit Smoking Today
Without Gaining Weight, it was half price, so I bought it. I opened the
book on Monday afternoon, listened to the CD, and l have gone
from 40 a day to none, and I feel great,it-s unbelievable. still have to
listen to the CD once a day for 2 weeks. Try it.Good for you!!!! don-t give up now, you can do it!!!
giving up isn-t easy, but you-ll find that after a couple of weeks it gets better, save the cash you would have spent on Cig-s and at the end of the week, give yourself a treat, Keep up the good work! YOU CAN AND WILL DO IT!! Congratulations! You have to go through nicotine withdrawal but you will come out the other side.
These answers you have are full of support for you. Don-t give up we believe in you.
Good Luck!My dad gave up smoking by using the nicotine replacement patches. He also ate whatever he wanted. He put on alot of weight, but it helped him stop. You could try nicotine gum as well. Just don-t start again. These next couple of days will be the worst but it does get easier. Just think how you would feel if you didn-t give up and then developed lung cancer and had to go through chemo, I think you would feel worse!Since smoking is an addiction you cud try Rehab or acupuncture. Also try nicotine gums.I-ve seen friends go through this, you-re still going through withdrawal.
Soon enough when all traces of nicotine are out of your body you will no longer have the cravings.
Good Luck!Distract yourself, got somewheer where you cant smoke, that will take your mind off it and you dont see people with ciggys hanging out their mouths. Its all in the will power. You feel like death warmed up because your body was relying on nicotine for stress relief and you are suffreing from what is known as withdrawl symptoms.
Good luck, go for it, only you can do it and I wish you all the best.treat yourself and incorporate a bit of exercise if you can. maybe a shopping trip? you-re doing really, really well - it-s a very hard thing to do and you should be very proud of yourself.
if you can motivate yourself to do something physical it would be really good for you, it-ll release endorphines and hopefully tire you out so you can fall asleep and not think about the evil cigarettes xxxhi i quit nearly 3 weeks ago and my god is it hard !!! mt fella has been takin me somewhere nice as atreat every weekend i havent smoked but i am losing the craving now and startin to feel healthier!!!well done , im in the same boat, give up two days ago, i know its hard just try to take it one step at a time, dont think about next week just think about conquering the next fag that you wont have.
