Are you trying to stop smoking? then read this!? -

I stopped smoking over 2 years ago now, and can honestly say it was much, much easier than I ever thought it would be. First of all, I read a book by Allan Carrs called - the easy way for women to stop smoking-. I got about half way through and suddenly it hit me, everything he said actually was true and made complete sense. I carried on reading til I finished the book, all the while thinking - -blimey, ieverything he says is true! I can do this- and when I finished that was it - I quit. And believe me when I say, you don-t really need willpower, or nicotine substitutes, as he makes you see smoking for what it really is. It-s not a stress reliver, or a crutch of somekind. If you want to give up, give the book a try, please!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!I stopped smoking in 1999 without any problems, it wasn-t as bad as I thought it would be, although I didn-t use any nicotine replacements or how-to books. When I was completely cigarette free after 2 years I was convinced that I had definitely conquered the -evil weed-. Anyway, 4 years of being smoke free I started smoking again. Why? I don-t know. Out of the blue. Of course, all this hype that there is around about smoking did have a -helping hand- in starting me smoking. Probably if there wasn-t so much bad press about it I wouldn-t have started. Anyway, after smoking for a year, I stopped again for 6 months. Then started again, then stopped for about 10 months only to start again. It-s very good that you-ve stopped and I hope, for your sake, that you-ll stay smoke-free, however, I do think that there-s far to much press at the moment and a lot of pressure on smokers. Even when I didn-t smoke I NEVER persecuted smokers and I wasn-t one of those ex-smokers who act like coughing when going into a smoke filled place. I will not try that book because I-m not that bothered, I don-t consider smoking nowhere near as hazardous as they make it out like, because I believe there are other issues that are more important that the government should focus on. Well done, though!Every person is different and will use different methods to give up, for example my husband quit smoking without the aid of anything, as for me i need to know that something is helping me like a patch etc. Reading is a good substitute for not smoking anyway, so thats probably where the catch is.I started to read that book too. I got to page three then lit it up.Thats all very well, but didnt Allen Carr die of lung cancercoolit-s all up to your personality, the same way how stop smoking ad-s will help some people, and will be ignored by others. BTW, allen carr did die of lung cancer - because he smoked.
