How do I get my friend to stop smoking and drinking? -
Yeah, so my very best friend is unfortunately a pothead, sometimes she drinks, but not too often.She smokes pot a LOT and she knows that it will ruin her brain, but she isn-t about to quit, according to her. She-s just a teenager, so I want to know what to do before it REALLY gets out of hand and ruins her whole life.
I was recently on the phone with her and she was acting all drunk, and when I talked to her about two minutes ago, I could hear her and her friends blazing up.
So, in conclusion, how do I get my friend to stop smoking and drinking? And please give me realistic answers or I can and will report your answer.

I have been in your situation with so many of my friends... but the fact is that unless they want to quit, they are not going to quit. And, sounding by how your friend is exposed to it a lot (through her other friends), she isn-t going to want to quit or really have the opportunity.
The only thing you can do that would have a remote shot is sitting down with her, and talking to her, from the heart, saying how you are worried for her and so forth and just wish she would make an effort to stop.
But really, you probably just gonna have to let her be and do her do.you cant make anyone do anything.
the only thing you can do to your friend is nag her and that will ruin your friendship. Telling her how bad smoking and drinking is when she already knows will just annoy her.
People have the right to make their own choices in life, even if you dont like them.
So either take her as she is, or move on. Dont try to change people.you cant really convince them, scare them, or do anything much for them. its there choice, and its fun enough for them to not worry about it. the only thing you can do is support them during the bad times and not do it with themThere-s not really a way for you to make her do anything. You could tell her parents and get her sent to lakeside or some other kind of treatment center. But if you do that she probably wont want to be friends anymore. It-s her choice
