Stopped smoking and dont wanna put on weight.? -

My days are really full. I am up at 5am, get ready for work, get my daughter ready for school, i serve breakfast (usually cereal) tidy up the house then I am off to work at 7am. I am at the office till 5:30 and then get home by 6:30. Which means I have less than 2 hours to serve dinner and get my 5yr old ready for bed at 8. Is there an exercise program that doesnt require too much time? I just stopped smoking and I am scared of picking up weight. With a tight schedule like yours you are going to find little time for an exercise session. I choose to walk to work as this in itself is excersise. You can control your weight by watching what you eat. For eg Bake , grill or steam all your food dont make acceptions unless its unavoidable in wich case you can fry in a little olive oil, cut out white bread, pastas ( twice a month), Potatoes ( twice a month), and rice. Eat plenty of salads, veggies ( steamed to retain goodness this can be done in a microwave by placing the veggies whole or cut in half in a tiny bit of water in a glass bowl and covering the bowl with plastic wrap and cooked on high for between 3 min and 5 min depending on the veg) and fruit ( have this on hand at all times for an alternative to snacks) and stay far away from takeaways even if it is tempting to buy a ready made meal instead of cooking. I have a similar routine and also need to watch my weight. This eating plan along with the walk to work keeps both my son and myself healthy and trim without having to go on diets or cut down on food.I-ve been researching workouts, and I-ve found the T-Tapp method. You concentrate on using good form, and 15 minutes is all you need. I just bought the book today, so I haven-t done it over an extended period of time. I did try out all her moves available on her website, though, and they feel quite effective.

i have many overweight friends who smoke so dont kid yourself. Sounds like you have a busy day i-d suggest waking up an hour earlier if possible or stayin up an hour later, fit in a jogging/walking routine.It-s a myth that stopping smoking makes you gain weight. A myth perpetrated by the tobacco companies to keep you hooked.yer not gunna get fat from quitting;; the smokingg companies just tell yu that to keep yu on it.get 3 m baby-s and i promeas that you will not get fatI think there is some truth to gaining weight after one quits smoking. I-m one of those people who has to have something to do with her hands, even though I was never allowed to smoke indoors. When I read, I take my thumb or finger and flip the corners of books, I chew pens, etc. When one stops smoking, especially if s/he is an indoor smoker I suppose that needing something else to do, like eat, fills the -need- for the hand to mouth action.

How do you have time to breathe? I actually lost weight when I quit smoking. I quit because I realized what I was and wasn-t doing to and with my body by not only smoking, but the way I was eating and living. Soon after I quit smoking, I became vegetarian. By the end of that summer (I quit smoking the first week in January of 2005), I became vegan. For me, it did help that I had to go outside to smoke so the temptation to just idly light one while watching TV or playing on the computer was not there. (I would smoke and read because I would take my book or magazine outside with me.) However, I did chew more pens.

I really don-t remember what I did. However, if you -need- something, try all-natural organic suckers (I found some at Babies -R- Us, but try Trader Joe-s, Whole Foods, or the local natural foods store), fruits, veggies, etc. for the hand to mouth thing. Sure, I had my setbacks. The first time I really drank after, I was hunting for an old one. That summer we went to New York City with my husband-s younger sister and traveling with her was quite the trial. (The only thing that kept me from buying a pack in NYC was the price.) Actually, that whole month was bad for me and I was thisclose to buying a pack several times. I-m not sure what stopped me, except the thought that I actually succeeded at something and didn-t want to fail. Also, since I was taking better care of myself, I didn-t want to ruin it.

Anyway, I-ve lost my train of thought, as I just noticed the time. I hope I-ve been of some help.
