Whats the best way to stop smoking? -

Whats the best way to stop smoking? -

don`t want to use drugs any Natural way?this may take time but it is a sure shot method.

always keep on postponing your urge to smoke.
eg. in the beginning if you want to smoke now try to smoke after an hour or two, then once daily, then slowly increase the time duration and gradually you will realise that you have stopped completely.there are many ways! The bottom line is you need to WANT to quit. Cold turkey can work fine but some people struggle a little bit. I will soon put a free site with all main support methods classification. Will also offer free lessons to quit on ebookstopsmoking.com watch out for these in july 09

It-s to stop! After 3 days the constant longing stopped for me. The part you have to be aware of is that the strong and powerful longing will return at unexpected times. Try to stay away from friends who smoke. If there-s someone else in the family who smokes at least ask them to smoke outside the house.
Beware the triggers. I used to light every time I got in the car. Just one of those things. Now I sip my coffee. I quit 2 years ago. AND, it-s great. I no longer even think about it unless I see others like yourself just entering the struggle to quit. Believe me, once you-ve got away from smoking, you-ll never regret. That-s a fact.
Thanks and good luckHey Keiron,
I-ve tried just about every method there is out there with zero success.
Gum patches and all the other just did not cut it for me, not to mention cold turkey which was the hardest, I even tried the electric cig and it is just no match to the real thing.
Eventually a friend told me about a NLP method, check out this article:
http://www.squidoo.com/Not_Smoking_Any_M…

It’s the one that got me off the cigs and smoke free for GOOD even without gaining weight! :)

Good luck kicking the habit!
J.You-re already using a drug -- why not use one to stop using it? In the case of nicotine replacement products like the Commit Lozenges, it-s exactly the same drug that-s in cigarettes, only without the cancer causing stuff.cold turkey thats what i did I know its hard, you just have to eat a lot more try to eat healthy put on that weight for a couple of months and then start working it off and stop eating so much when the need for smoking stops
good luckwell when i quit, i got some really minty gum. and whenever i had a craving i put in a piece. sometimes i had like 4 pieces in my mouth within 5 minutes, but it worked. stick it out, prices are going up soon :[tough one,I smoke myself but only about 4 or five a day,so i would suggest cutting down first and see how you get on,cold turkey i can imagine would drive you crazy. The best way to stop smoking is...... stop smoking. You might find this helpful:

i would love to know your tricks an how long till you stopped craving one im so desprate to stopEVERY TIME YOU HAVE THE URGE TO HAVE A SMOKE CHEW SOME GUM OR DO SUMTHING ELSE AND DO THIS FOR A MONTH AND YOUR ADDICTION SHOULD BE TAKEN DOWN ;)its hard ..so hard...! .I only have to look at my emphacemic father or yellow crinkly skinned colleagues to say no.. the cravings pass. Just dont give them any attention if you can help it, each craving you ignore means that the cravings get less..eventually.

I-m on one a day now..maybe two sometimes....hmmmmm dont think your in control after you have stopped cos your not..the little b*****ds will get you again...Sorry cant help.....I-m enjoying it too much.I read Allen Carr-s Easy Way to stop smoking - thought about what is said, then read some chapters again. It stopped me easily and with no cravings from that point on. A lot of people I know who have stopped still get cravings, especially when drinking etc. I don-t get any at all and am immensely happy to have stopped (over 5 years now). If you really want to stop then take the time to read then book and follow the instructions. You have so much to gain (No, it-s not expensive - no, I am not on commission :-). All the best.I-ve been quit (this time) three days, and my motivation was that I have to quit to undertake cosmetic surgery. Prior to that I quit for three months, but started again when I wen t out for a drink!

I also quit for three years, but started again when I was getting divorced.

You don-t ever stop craving, but the urges obviously get less and less strong and less frequent. My mom has been quit 12 years, and she still gets the urge now and again.

When the time is right - you-ll do it. I find lozenges are the best, nicotine chewing gum can be a strong flavour and patches don-t help with the individual cravings.

Good luck.
