What would you do if you were totally against smoking and....? -

and your love one(s) (family or significant other) smoked?Would you try to make them stop smoking?Tell them how you feel about their smoking however pushing them to stop cold turkey is not the answer. Tell them what happens to smokers and go from there , besides is it really worth the relationship that you have with them?My sister has been smoking since she was 15 and she-s finally trying to quit, but when it comes to her who knows how long that will last. She already relaps 2 weeks ago.Yes, I would, for their sake and MY sake. Indeed, that has happened. I had been asking MH to quit smoking since we started living together. Only when our daughter became 10 y.o. did he quit - she asked that for her birthday present. Influenced by me. To be noted, he wasn-t a heavy smoker and practically didn-t smoke at home.My moms family smokes and i hate it i been trying to get them to stopchoices choices choices. isnt it nice to do what you want when you want without some do gooder barking on about whats good for you.

if its leagal and your not harming anyone else then i think you should be left alone.

how would you like a loved one to get onto you about the excessive amount of time you spend on the internet asking questions, its your choice isnt it and you know the harm it can do!

leave em alone for pitty sake..lolYou can-t make someone stop smoking, they just have to want to do it.
I have been dating my boyfriend for about 2 years now, and he HATES smoking. I was a smoker, but just a casual one. Once he expressed how much he disliked it, and I thought it wad hindering our relationship, I just quit. It-s been almost 2 years now without smoking!i am aginst smoking and all of my friends and family smoke i just leave them be its what they do not me they dont make me go with their beliefs on right and wrong why would i make them go with mine?My boyfriend of two years smokes and I have asked him several times to quit, but he won-t, so I-ve gotten used to it. At the end of the day it-s his decision and he does it in a way that doesn-t affect me (he always goes outside the house to smoke, brushes his teeth after and so on, he never smells of cigarettes).I would and have tried to get my husbands family to quit. They have since stopped smoking in the house so that my infant children are not around it, but they still continue to smoke regularly. After you make your wishes known, it is up to them. If it is something that you bring up constantly, it will only irritate them and put distance in your relationship.u can-t really get them to stop but u can encourage them to stopYou can do all you want to push peopel to smoke, and this will do no good. The best thing you can do is to GENTLY enourage them and just give your support. Smokers won-t quite until they-ve decided it-s time.
