Not happy, I am 38 and now have stopped smoking, and gained 30lbs. and only in one spot, what to do??? -

I stoped smoking on Jan. 2nd. of this year and I have become an absolute HOG!!!! All of my weight has gone directly to my belly, I look like my father UGGH. Well some of it has also gone to my face 2 chins now. I normally weighed 140 to150 on average and am 5-10-, and what do I do to get rid of this? My waist has stayed the same 33-, but the belly is not the same as before, please give good information on what I will need to do to remove this.Do the following yogic exercises everyday and become perfect in all aspects and stay healthy whole throughout your life.
1. Arathamathesendrasan (reduces the folds on the side)
2. bhujangasan ( reduces the fat - creases on the back)
3. halasan ( flexes the muscles - reduces the creases)
4. dhanurasan ( flexes the muscles - reduces the creases)
5. sarvangasan ( controls the whole body to perfection)
6. mathsyasan ( increases the chest - reduces the stomach)
7. nauli kriya ( the best for stomach)
8. mayurasan ( very difficult but best for the belly )
9. bhastrika pranayanam ( breathing exercise, very best and must as this controls BP, prevent lung diseases, increases the brain power, will never get cough or cold and controls your anger and other violent emotions, brings in crimson complextion to the face etc, etc)
10. sevasan. ( This is the last exercise and this removes all the stress and strain of all the above exercises )

Do all these exercises every day in the morning before breakfast and after nature calls because both your stomach - intestines should be empty while you do this . Do it regularly for 1 month with confidence and see the magicNot sure I think 150 is too skinny for a 5 10- man... you might actually look good with the weight... i think with the money you are saving on not smoking you should treat urself to a gym. Work out and have fun!try hydroxycut or relacore. The obvious answer is, drum roll, eat less and exercise more. But if it were that easy everyone would be thin. Just so you know, same thing happened when I quit smoking two years ago. And I just started doing something about it in early January. There-s a great free site called www.fitday.com. Check it out. Totally valuable if you-re looking to lose some weight. Track what you eat there, track your weight, and see where all your calories are coming from. It-s great to be able to see exactly what is causing you to get fat. Then cut out the junk food. Walk more, hit the gym a couple times a week and the weight WILL come off.Nicotine speeds up metabolism, so when you quit your metabolism slows a bit. Make an effort to do some daily exercise to keep your metabolism efficient - brisk walk for 20 mins, take the stairs, dance, sport, move, move....

Stop substituting food for smoking. If you have to put things in your mouth, make them healthy - small amounts, often and...healthy, like plain water, salads and fruit. Cakes, cookies, sweets, white bread, sodas are a no no!

Some smokers have underlying reasons they smoked, and if you think you need to fix that, such as rewarding yourself with food to cover up hurt feelings, low confidence, bordom, peer pressure, etc, then get some help there. Some suggestions are: meditation, yoga, new hobby, learn a skill. Look for local classes, which also gives you the benefit of meeting new people to make friends with.

ok...smoking tends to make people lose weight...its a great thing tht u stopped but in order to keep a good figure there are some precautions u must take
1. good diet/cut down a bit
2. exercise/invite some guys over to play some football once or twice a week
great exercises
GOOD LUCK!if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet with Herbalife after a friend who had lost weight with them recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so fairly easily. There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. You also a get e free complete health consultation with the samples, I think I just paid the postage, but for what I got it was well worth it.
I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. The owners will advise you on what to purchase depending on what you want to lose, my sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months. The website is www.myhealthabc.com. You just leave your details and they call you up, I would suggest that if you aren’t sure or don’t want someone to ring you then go to their main site www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. This is what I did before I went to the first site and left my details so they could contact me. You can see with all the products and detail they have, so you know that they mean business. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.I quit in August, and have gain about 20 pounds, I walk every day and have just cut out candy, sweets, and soda.(2 weeks ago) Give yourself some time then cut down on the food, It is a good idea to do some sort of busy work I made knit hats and gave 8 of them to the Salvation Army-s Angel tree at Christmas time, so it was a benefit to someone else. Do puzzles or take up knitting, a lot of men are doing that now.
Another way to not eat so much is to brush your teeth when you get eating urges, you get that oral gratification, and no one wants to eat with freshly brushed teeth.Sweetie, You know what to do...get some exercise.

Best way to stop smoking? -

I know there are probably millions out there who have stoped smoking I want to quit I really do but its hard.... about 6 years ago I used to be a meth addict but I detoxed myself and quit but quiting tobacco seems to be a lot lot harder as crazy as it sounds it was easier for me to get off meth then tobacco ... I have cut down on smokes though one pack will last me almost 2 weeks now i used to go through a pack a day almost so any way any tips or ideas from one would be helpfull

thanksthe best way to go is slow like you have been, take it slow and dont force it because that is what always sets you back to smoking againCold turkey really is best. Just be determined to beat it, and you will! Have distractions ready, like hard candy or straws to chew on, lots of gum, and something to do with your hands. Take up knitting (don-t laugh, it will help!), or woodworking, or painting.

Keep telling yourself, -I can make it one more hour...- and keep pushing it one hour at a time. The PHYSICAL addiction is gone in about 4 days, but the mental addiction is harder.

Good luck to you, you will be so glad!I gave up for 8 years once, it is hard lol
This time i used a self hypnoses cd.
i had to read a short book which took about half an hour then listen to the cd which took 25 Min-s.
that was over 8 weeks ago.
Ive smoked twice now when i was in the company of smokers and quite drunk! though i can get rat arsed and not smoke as long as no 1 else is!
hope that helpsThere is a book called -The Easy Way to Stop Smoking- by Allen Carr.

A former smoker recommended it to me and it did help. I quit on Jan 1st after 15 years and so far it really hasn-t been that hard.

It-s All in the State of the Mind (by an unknown author)

If you think you are beaten, you are

If you think you dare not, you don-t

If you think you-d like to win, but can-t,

It-s almost a cinch that you won-t.

If you think you-ll lose, you-ve lost

For out in the world you-ll find

That success begins with a fellows will

It-s all in the state of mind...

Think big and your deeds will grow

Think small and you-ll fall behind

Think that you can and you will

It-s all in the state of mind..

Life-s battle doesn-t always go

To the stronger and faster man

But sooner or later, the man who wins

Is the fellow who thinks he can. There is no one method that works for everyone. The nicotine gum worked for me, but not my wife. She finally had success with Chantix. Just keep trying until you find a method or combination of methods that work for you. The most important factor is the desire to quit.I managed to quit on my own, cold turkey, once for about three years. Since I relapsed I-ve tried the patch and Zyban without success. Tried Nicorettes too...but you can-t keep the damn things lit.

I really think it-s a mind thing. Ya gotta wanna!

As Mark Twain once said: -Quitting smoking is easy; I-ve done it a thousand times.-Different methods work for different people. I tried tapering down, but the only thing that worked for me was cold turkey, which is saying something since I was addicted to smoking since I was 7.I smoked almost 2 packs of newport 100s a day for about 10 years.

I quit when I was very sick for a week. I was hacking up green crap. The smokes tasted terrible, just like the mucus. Food also tasted terrible.

I couldn-t stop eating, but I could avoid the smokes because the taste, and even smell was just like the mucus.

I avoid smokes that first few days of being sick, ended up being sick a good week and a half or so, and by the end I realized I had gone without smoking. From that point on I was done.

The $80 a week of saved cash was nice, and I physically feel stronger as a result.

Next time you are sick, try it. The combination of symptoms may help mask the cig withdrawls as it did for me.

Good luckFind another -habit- like chewing gum or eating on sunflower seeds. That would probably help, it did for my brother.
:)the cinammon nicorette worked great for me. It was much harder to quit if i was drinking so avoid it if that triggers you.Stop buying cigarettes. Scrounge them off other people instead. This will slow you down.i quit cold turkey when i had a bad three day asthma attack and wanted just one puff and thought i was going to diemy uncle quit by taping pictures of his family on his cartons.Dont smoke, you smell and look sick.take the
gum r patches.
they will save u money?

How do i pass a drug test? -

How do i pass a drug test? -

whats up people my name is Jorge and im 21, smoke marijuana for 14 years. Lucky my dad hook me up for a job, so now my boss whos a homeboy told me i was going to take a drug test and im worry. i stop smoking for 4 weeks ago. tell me what should i do and take to pass a drug test.You-ve been blazin- up since you were EIGHT? That explain the refined use of the English language.

Best of luck finding employment doing anything that doesn-t involved a deep fryer or restocking videos.Marijuana is the most commonly used and tested for drug in the United States and several other countries as well. Marijuana’s effects on the user and detection time depend on it’s strength or potency, which is related to the amount of THC(Tetrahydrocannabinol) it contains.

When you ask the question “How long does marijuana stay in your system?” you need to take into account the fact that there is no simple answer to this question. THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) can stay in a person-s body for as long as 3 to 90 days after smoking or being ingested orally. There are numerous determining factors for how long drug toxins stay in a persons body which vary from person to person, such as the analytical method used, your health, your body weight, metabolism, fluid intake, the type of drug toxin, and the degree of exposure to the drug toxin.

The speed at which marijuana leaves your body depends both on the speed of your metabolism, as well as on the half life of THC. It’s estimated that THC can have a half life that ranges anywhere from 1-10 days. It’s almost impossible to find out what that half life is, which means that it is very difficult to use it to calculate how long it will take for all of the THC to leave your body.

For this reason, when you ask “How long does marijuana stay in your system?” you have to realize that it’s very unlikely that you’ll be able to get a usable answer. The most common period of time is anywhere from 3-30 days, depending on your metabolism and the amount of marijuana that you’ve smoked. This means marijuana could still be detected in a urine test up to a month after the last time it is used. If you smoke it occasionally it will remain in your system for up to 10 days. If you smoke marijuana on a regular basis it will stay in your system for as long as 45 days, and if you smoke marijuana at a constant pace, it can stay in the body for 90 days, Marijuana is fat soluble. It stores in the fat cells of the body, the brain, the liver, the kidneys, in other words the major organs.

Hair tests are even more sesitive, since your body stores THC in the hair follicles. For this reason, the previous answers to “How long does marijuana stay in your system?” are only useful if you’re going to take a urine test. For the hair test, depending on the amount of hair that the company takes, it’s possible that marijuana could be detected up to three years after the last time that you smoke.

But if they are a -Drug Free Work Place- or you are in a Department of Transportation reportable job or a safety sensitive job you must stay clean. They can do reasonable suspicion and random drug screens on you.eat poppies seed muffins shows up u smoked but say cus u e ate the muffinStop doing drugs and alcohol and then you don-t have to worry about that. Sorry. All I can see is trouble if you are trying to be responsible and hold a job. Responsible people don-t do drugs of any kind unless it is for their health. Marijuana ain-t!!!!!!!Ask ur dad sinse he got u hooked onto it. 3 days ur system should be cleaned. Then No more drugs. Its the startin of ur life. Don-t screw it up for ur future. Think of the kids u want in ur life.Do u want them to be deform, retarded, stupid, disable to do anything...that u have to take care of that child the rest of ur life? Think about it dude. It pays to quit and stay away from it for u own good. I use to work in a rehab center where I meet ppl that lost thier parents - children and everything they have. Very sad but they ask for it. Think about it..do u want to loose ur parents and kids. What if u have a beautiful boat, house, cars, and lost it all. Shock to think about.Continue to stay clean and pray.not do drugswell obviously don-t do drugs...but I-ve also heard that green tea clears out ur system somewhat-but i don-t really know what that based on.stop smoking...drink alot of water and if your still worried I believe -niacin- will help..I just have to say, most of you people are total squares. If you actually researched studies on marijuana, you would discover that most negative information is utterly incorrect, or at the very least, greatly overstated. It is safer than alcohol, which remains legal and kills many people every day. No one ever died from a pot overdose.
My advice to the asker is to pay for a test on yourself now, and see if your clean yet. If not, continue to abstain until the coast is clear.

And to -Dictator-, your name would be much more acurate if you changed it to -Pretentious Beeatch-. And one last thing,
pppppppttttttbbbbbb!!!!! :PDon-t do drugs.
What a stupid question.go to GNC and ask them abt the one hour pill which hide the toxins for 4 to 6 hours. You smoked when you were 7?!?!?!

DONT DO DRUGS MAN!Stop doing drugs, dummy.
