The Patch and lots of willpower...Yes. It-s called Chantix and it-s a 12 week program. It-s a new medication out for the aid in quitting smoking. How do I know this? When you stop smoking will you have withdrawal symptoms? if so what kind of withdrawal symptoms? -

When you stop smoking will you have withdrawal symptoms? if so what kind of withdrawal symptoms? -

I had irritability, insomnia, and increased appetite. But I haven-t smoked in almost 9 years.hello. i have tried to quit smoking before but have failed. I find each persons withdrawals are different, but i got the sweats and then the chills, and also got extreme outburst of anger and crying. Also an INCREDIBLE increase in appetite. in five days i had gained 6 kilograms. However, if you live in australia, there is a tablet called Champix that can be prescribed by your medical practioner, that can really help when quitting..No withdrawal symptoms.

I stopped smoking cold turkey? -

I stopped smoking cold turkey? -

(For the last...5 years I-ve smoked about 5- 10 cigarettes a day. I just quit three days ago.) Now I have a sore throat and I-m coughing a lot, I-m hungry constantly.

How can I make my cravings go away? And is there a better way to do this? My roommate has tried patches, gum, etc. but she always starts again, so that-s why I-m doing it this way.

Any encouragement? Tips? Tricks? Methods? Gross facts to keep me away from cigarettes? Hahathey-re nasty.
anddddd...
my grandpa started sweating TAR after smoking for 22 years. Yes, the black tar was leaking out of his body.

grosssssssss.

guys dont like girls with nasty cigg. breath.

:)

KEEP GOING!! 21 days is the time period in which your cravings will be bad, after 21 days, you start not even noticing.Just rent alot of movies and keep your mind off it. Exercising (specifically sweating) will help as well (not immediately, but you will get through this withdrawal period alot faster). I quit 2 years ago after smoking a pack a day for about 12 years. If you can get past the first week, the second week isnt as bad. If you can get past the 2nd week, its all downhill from there. Cold turkey is the only way. I tried patches, gum, inhalers, all that, you-re right, none of it works. Good work and stay strong.suck on cough drops and life savers. also regular gum. (NOT NICOTINE!!)

dont eat constantly! eat normally, and try to work through your hunger.

take a motrin or something for your throat...OH!

its kind of gross but it works like magic.

you will need to get something that holds loose leaf tea, from the store.

boil some water, then take garlic and put it in the loose leaf tea thing and stir it.

GARLIC TEA.

it isnt really that bad. you have to drink all of it.

good luck! and good job with quitting =]Take a non-smoking lover. Go to a tropical island for a week. By the time you come back your world will have spun so much you will have forgotten the cravings.

Good luck.try gum or lifesavers candy. just know that-s it very bad for you and makes you and your breath stink. it-s expensive too. good luck, keep up the good work, you will be glad later!!I am so proud of you. Keep it up. Try gum or lifesavers, at least for the next 2 weeks. Then it will get easier. One day at time. All I want to tell you is Good Luck! You Can Do It!Good for you! i appluad you for your first step.

I never smoked, but my friend has. I was with her through the months it took her to stop. Anyways. She stopped smoking by constantly chewing gum. Everytime she needed a cigarette, she threw a piece of gum into her mouth instead. It doesn-t work with everyone, but it seemed to work well for her.started chewing, then went to the gum. Trading habits is way easier than -cold turkey-, make sure you pick a safe habit to take its placepatches and presistance with help from my family and friendsFirst you have to stop drinking, PERIOD. The first drink lowers your ambition, and the two go hand in hand. Also, when drinking your usually around other smokers. Other smokers will not be supportive of your decision. Now that you don-t have the alcohol lowering your ambition, and your not hanging around other smokers, like at night, around a bar, then quit and go cold turkey.it was hard but i did it cold turkey. what i found worked to stop was i carried a straw and a pack of gum in my pocket and when ever i felt like smoking i would either chew gum or chew on the straw also i started going to the gym stay away from places and events that make you want to smoke for at least 2 weeks. places like bars, clubs and events or actions that make you want to smoke. like drinking. if you ever get stressed out and feel you need a cigarette just go for a quick walk. these were just some things that worked for me everyone is different so what works for one might not for others the key to quiting is doing all at once and having friends to support you. and because nicotine is a drug that is very addictive think of it like heroin( a little out there but they are but just as addictive) if you-re hooked on heroine and want to quit you dont say - ok i-ll take just a little less each day- you stop all at once ... same with cigarettes. the patch, the gum, the pill, all of those are just like saying oh im just gonna take a little just to get a fix.I would have never stopped until I realised how the smoking was affecting my body!
I realised this when I went to swimming with my old mates one day. I used to beat them in the swimming carnival in old days... but that time... oh I just couldnt breathe! They just kicked the hell out of me.
After that, I felt it-s really killing me... took me a while but gradually I quit.you need a smack in the face
not literally
i mean you need a really good reason like a health scare or something
mine was pregnancy
and it still is really hardyou should have a source of determination to stop you from it. for example, your crush or special someone :))
