if u ran and drank water religiously, and took cranberry pills and drnaks cranberry juice too? within 72 hoursmaybe....cuttin close i would think, but try by all means! also it depends on how much you smoked every day BEFORE you quit smoking. depending on that would make a difference on how long it takes to get completely out of your system. so if you didn-t smoke a lot anyway, you could be fineYou might also try Epsom Salt, it tastes nasty but will clean your fluids out viciously.

How do i stop smoking without getting fat? When im upset thats the 1st thing i look for.? -

How do i stop smoking without getting fat? When im upset thats the 1st thing i look for.? -

try other activities....If your worried about over eating start excersising, eat more fruit and veggies and protein.
If your thinking of quitting start changing your routines now, if you have quit change routines immediatly.
Think about what your triggers are...yea when you get upset but what upsets you?
Congrats for thinking of doing it...Now do it..you know you can!!When you feel like you need to reach for a cigarette, try channeling that into something else, especially if you are upset. Don-t reach for food, instead, try working out, or taking a walk, or writing in a journal. It will give you time to think, and clear your mind. Hope this helps!

Ok since like November ive been smoking 2 to 3 ciggarettes on the weekends (including friday). I play sports and i just realized how much of a fing idiot i am and i want ot stop forever
last weekend i had 6
do you think ill be able to stop forever and even want to do itWell, if you are trying to quit on your own it is possible but having a friend or someone to help you by giving moral support would be good as well. You don-t seem to have much of a habit. You obviously want to stop and that is a huge plus toward success. You already realize one benefit of quitting (sports). Avoid the situations where you are prone to smoke. Also, substitute some positive activity(s) in place of the smoking urge. I doubt that your body has developed a strong addiction to nicotine based on the small amount that you currently smoke; but increasing from 3 to 6 was not a move in the positive direction, and you realize that. I believe your goal of quitting is very attainable; think of it like a competition---are you gonna let a little cigarette beat you!? (or 3 cigarettes) Of course not! Whip their butts!!! (lol)well yes it will be hard but that makes it all the better when you accomplish it.
you have to fight and have tons of will power
you especially don-t wanna ruin sports you play because your activity just won-t be as great as your potential.
i know tons of people who quit smoking so of coarse you-ll be able to do too.Yes, you seem to be a social smoker. Try to get through the weekend without smoking, you will feel so proud of yourself after. Then try to get through 2 weekends without smoking, then 3, 4, 5, till you don-t need it anymore, it feels wonderful when you know that you are not a slave of that stupid stick anymore!
Good luck!yes if you want to quit you will Good Choice by the way smoking is bad for you i just knew someone who died because she smoked cigarettes
Okay do you think itll be easy for me to stop smoking? -

Please help me with easy and cheap ways to quit this bad habitYou didn-t say how you-ve been smoking or how much you smoke daily.
I-m guessing you-ve been smoking for some time and you-ve tried to quit without success.

What most people especially non smokers don-t understand is that smoking is in Fact harder to quit for many people than a hard core drug addiction like heroin. That-s due to the way smoking affects the receptors in your brain and the longer you-ve smoked and the higher the count of cigarettes every day the more receptors that are affected. Cigarettes are legal to possess and easy to purchase.

Nicotine gum can deliver nicotine to your brain but if you-ve been smoking for awhile you-ll need to chew several pieces daily for 30 mins each to get any kind of relief from nicotine with drawl symptoms. (as many as 25-40 pieces daily for some smokers trying to quit) Nicotine gum is harder than regular chewing gum and chewing all of that hard gum can cause teeth an jaw problems.

Nicotine patches have double the success rate of Nicotine gum but you have to be careful where you place the patches on your body. Place them to close to your heart and you-ll most likely get an irregular heartbeat.

The latest thing which smoker-s have been using without with drawl misery and good success quitting is the E-cigarettes.

E-cigarettes deliver only nicotine to the brain, they have absolutely none of the over 10,000 chemicals found in each tobacco cigarette you smoke. They have none of the 57 known cancer causing chemicals or agents found in every cigarette. Plus E-cigarettes are smokeless, odorless, have no hot flame, and produce zero second hand smoke.

What E-cigarettes do have is the nicotine and they give you the ability to imitate every move you now make when you smoke a tobacco cigarette. After all, it-s not just the nicotine that your brain is craving it-s also the repeated motions you make each time you smoke a regular cigarette.

E-cigarettes are made by several different companies and have been used in the European countries for many years. It was only with the complete Public Ban on smoking and people going crazy from with drawl symptoms that the E-cigarette made its way to the US. The E-cigarette may cost a little more to get the starter kit but after that it can be as much as 50 to 75 percent cheaper than smoking tobacco cigarettes that have 10,000 chemicals, 57 of which are known to cause cancer in each cigarette. E-cigarettes come in many nicotine levels and many flavor varieties depending on the company you buy from. E-cigarettes can be used anywhere, even at work or on an airplane.

Then there are prescription drugs like Chantix and others, which require a doctor-s visit and the cost of the prescription. There might be a follow up doctor visit it depends on your doctor. Not everyone-s body can tolerate the prescription drugs and some of the prescription drugs can cost a few hundred dollars for a month-s supply.

Having tried the nicotine gums, patches, and two prescription pills, I-m finding that of all of these the E-cigarette has been the least expensive and I-m having the best success rate at cutting my nicotine levels comfortably down to quit before long.

I got my E-cigarette kit from the web site below copy and paste it into your browser or type it in:

I really hope this helps you.
Here-s to you becoming tobacco free also!apparently, using a patch and gum together is proven to be the most statistically likely way you can give up smoking, good luckstart with nicotine gum then go to regularI-ve been smoking for 12 years and have seen amazing things.

I suggest reading this : http://www.hoptechno.com/book43.htm
And -The Easy Way to Stop Smoking- which is by Allen Car.

Those 2 things made my friend quit. And he-s been smoking for 8 years which I find amazing.

Don-t be an idiot and use gum or patches. Those can make you sick from too much nicotine entering your system at one time. Solution: Use an e-cigarette. You can buy them online from many places, and they allow you to use a step down method for the cartridge strength you choose. E-cigs are totally non toxic, so don-t listen to all the garbage you might hear about them. Ive used them myself, and they look and feel like a real cancer stick. Review the websites below for real information, not some garbage about how the vapor is actually toxic, or anything likewise.

We know what is in normal cigarettes. Over 4000 highly toxic substances. E-cigs have NONE of them, save for the low doses of nicotine, which YOU control. Start off at normal strength cartridges, then move down, or Hell, don-t. You can keep smoking them normal ones if you want. It won-t kill you, unlike normal smokes. They are harmless, and satisfy your need for nicotine, and to have something in your hand and mouth.

Do research on these and you will find that these beat patches and gum hands down. Not to mention that because it IS NOT burning anything, you can smoke it ANYWHERE. You could technically smoke it on a plane. You can research this topic on fhu.com.ok here is what i tell every smoker that want to quit:

5 cigs for 5 day (5 each day), 4 cigs for 4 days (4 each day), 3 cigs for 3 days (3 each day),

2 cigs for 2 days (2 each day) 1 cig for 1 day (thats it no more)... GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

I have quit smoking as my New Years resolution! Its killing me. How long will it be before the cravings ease off? One of my friends said his mum still gets craving after like 15 years! I cant feel like this for 15 years! Any ex-smokers views? How long did it take for the cravings to ease off? Also i cant use the patch (allergic to it) or the gum (makes me sick) so im going it through willpower alone. What encouraged you to quit? What kept you going?

Thanks

ScarletI quit many years ago and started again when my fiance went thru a health crisis. I stopped in May. My dentist told me that I needed two implants and if I smoked it would cause dry socket which is extremely painful. So I took it day by day. I still get cravings when I am stressed; however, it-s nice not waking up coughing and not having my hair and clothes smell like cigarettes. I am sorry you can-t use the patch. Ask your doctor about the pill that is new. I guess what encouraged me to quit the most was the health concerns and the fact that most of my family doesn-t smoke and I got tired of dealing with it. By the way, the money you save will amaze you. Good luck
Lizwell, i never smoked, but my mother did, and she used this ear-piece that sent signals to your brain to end cravings.Hi scarlet. Patches don-t work so don-t waste your money. It is because of what you are going through that so many smokers give up on giving up!!! The cravings come from your unconscious mind. Your unconscious mind wants you to keep smoking while only your conscious mind wants to quit. If you give in, your unconscious mind knows that it can win! It is desperate to win because it BELIEVES you must smoke and has to be shown that it is making a mistake. The best method, which lasts, is the Peter Zapfella hypnotherapy method - refer his website. He changes your belief in smoking. Otherwise, try traditional hypnotherapy which may last 6 to 18 months and deals with the habit and cravings. What encouraged me is that I wanted to breathe and the cost of the smokes. Willpower works so don-t give up. the cravings ease up after two weeks and as long as you aren-t around smokers it will be easier. I actually get a craving for one every once in awhile. When I am superduperstressedoutbigtime. Good luck, you are doing the right thing.Scarlet,
A Beautiful name you have!!! I quit over 20 years ago...started back 2 different times. to this day I smell the brand I smoked and i like it sometimes!!! It is a tough thing to do...but you can do it. There is a medicine now that helps. I ate carrott sticks and smoked them!! hahaha
and I had someone dear to me die of cancer and just several things that i said I have to sdo this!!! Just hang in ther eand it will get better. Be strong and know that you can do this. exercise and just keep busy!!!!!I gave up sucessfully using this method : http://www.zero-smoking.com , It took me about a month all in all and I have been given up for 4 months now and counting!
