Best way to stop smoking with out snapping at everyone? ? -

I would try meditation and yoga. They have helped me stay relatively sane while going through very stressful times. I practice everyday now without fail. It-s made a huge difference. Kelly Howell has some amazing CD-s. Awakening Kundalini is my favorite. You can find them in the audio book section at Barnes and Noble or Border-s. Good Luck!Try nicotene patches first. This will stop the habit of smoking but you-ll still get nicotene. After a while the patch doses goes down bit by bit till you wont need the patches anymore. You can also try herbal ciggarettes. They taste pretty bad but at least you can sorta trick your mind into thinking your having a smoke, without the nicotene. Good Luck!I had good luck using the lozenge. Then I weened myself off of those with wintergreen Altoids. Best of Luck!!nicotine patch is the only thing out there that has worked for me

Ive stopped smoking before what now? -

I never seem to stay stopped for more than 6-7 months, I-m so upset with myself. Have you found any really helpful tips on stopping? Or any very good reasons why I should just carry on?In 33 years of smoking I-ve quit 3 times, twice for 3 years, - once for 4 years, i-m still a smoker
Willpower is the only way.
If you find a good enough reason u-ll give up!
Also, if you find a good enough reason, u-ll start again!
My advice is, just perservere!!!!
Good luck!!!!!I gave up smoking two years and eight months ago (a new year-s resolution) after ten years of failed attempts. I finally decided that there was no longer any point giving up unless I stuck to it. It was hard, but I ate lots of ice-cream and chewed lots of gum. I didn-t use any aids as I had tried them before and they were no good. Giving up the drink (if you do drink) for a few weeks helps as well so you don-t get tempted to have a cigarette with your pint.

The cravings never truly go away, I still crave the odd one now. But I-ve learned to live with it. Keep trying, if you really want to give up you will succeed in the end. Good luck.i stopped smoking 19 months ago and it was the best thing i ever did, just after i nearly lost my hubby through heart disease.....
it took something so terrible for me to stop, and i haven-t looked back at all.....
just stop!! so you and those around you can have a healthier life.......if you want some help to stop smoking go to your docter and tell them that and ask about wellbutrin....it helps a lot of people quit in about a couple weeks to a month....I stopped smoking (from 40 a day) on 23 February 1986 and have not had another cig. since then. When I got a craving I took out a £5 note, got a box of matches and thought that smoking again would be the same a putting the match to the £5 and I thought of what I could do with the saved £5 by not lighting up.

The best way to keep on as a non smoker is if possible to stay away from places where there are a lot of smokers because just the smell of nicotine starts off the craving again. When you feel like a smoke, take a deep breath and let it out slowly to the count of 20, by which time the feeling should have passed. Make sure that there are no cigarettes in the house to tempt you. Good luck.hi
it is probably you are not inspired enough

anyways keep trying
one day you may actuallly be total success

one suggestion
i guess you are cutting down abruptly
dont do that
go slow
one cig at a time
that will b betterI had hypnotherapy and that worked I haven-t smoked forabout 14yrs nowdon-t start again.
if you have just one, don-t think that you need to have a whole pack. think to yourself that you can stay -quit-. don-t beat yourself up over it too much either, as that will probably make you want one more as consolation.I SPENT THE MONEY THAT I WOULD HAVE USED FOR SMOKING ON THINGS FOR MYSELF.
THIS CAN WORK OUT AS UP TO £50 A WEEK X 52 WEEKS =
£2600 A YEAR
SO I SPENT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AT A TIME TO STOP ME SMOKING BECAUSE YOU ARE CHASING THE MONEY AS A TARGET AND YOU HAVE AN AWARDyou need to pray to god and try your best not too smoke.I have the same problem. I leave it for about 4-5 months in a year. An important occasion comes and again it normally gets restarted in a party sort of activity where you booze and mind will command you to do it again.

So in a year I smoke for about 45 days and don-t smoke for 320 days. After every party I contiue with it for about a week and quit.

After quitting for about 2-3 days I used to feel that I had lost all my energy and good mind.

After three days I feel I conquered all the good!! And wish to continue for ever!!

As on today I am a non smoker (since 2 June 06) but I don-t know what I have to do on the night of 07 September)!!!I-m a believer in fate I don-t think if I gave up today that I would live any longer than by not giving up .If you enjoy it do it .if you don-t then stop simple as thatI have stopped for 6 months now - but only cause i am in the family way - i dont thin k i-d have been able to do it otherwise - dont beat yourself up - if you really want ot one day you will be able to
