Are the patches to stop smoking expensive? (tryin to quit for good )? -
they are to a pouint but believe me when i quit it was worth it. But before you go onto the patch, this is how i did it alright.I made sure on my very last pack that i had at least seven smokes left around 8pm. From then, i smoked one after the other. by the time i was half done my last smoke not only did i felt sick to my stomach but i fell asleep surprising. In the morning thats when you slap the patch on. why? because you just slept how many hours??? thats how many hours you don-t smoke so it adds on. I had no side effects of wanting a smoke for the next few days. It was like i was the new me. It was great.
But it does get hard, you will realize more people smoking than before.just keep in mind how much the patches where and beleive me you wouldn-t want to start up again to just buy patches all over again. Just make sure you don-t smoke with a patch on cause it-s very dangerious. It can kill you even so be careful okay.
Hope this helps.just to let you know you have to want to quit which i hope you do. be careful each step is different, it depends on how much you smoke so make sure you read up on it alright cause if your taking one that has more nicotine than you usually smoke, than your gonna feel sick.

patches cost about the same as smoking . so no there not that expensive. i would look into getting ur doctor to write u a script for chantex. ive been quite for about 3 weeks now using it. ive tried patches and gum , this (chantex) has really worked for me. its a fairly new drug. some insurance covers it. it cost me 20.00 with insurance, 140.00 without insurance. good luck and god blessI hope they are expensive. The more money you are willing to spend to try and quit smoking, the more motivated you will be to try and make sure the patches work! They certainly aren-t much more than what you are already spending on the cigarettes.Cost about the same as a carton of smokes. However, I have tried :
The patch
The inhaler
The pills
Hypnotisim
and pretty much every other quit smoking thing out there and so far, I still smoke. They didnt help me one bit.
Oh I would quit for a while, I think a month was the longest and that was on Zyban (the pill), then I broke out in horrible hives and had to stop taking them.
The only way to truely quit and to stay a non smoker, I believe is to just do it cold turkey. My husband did it, and about 10 of our friends and family did too.
Thats my two cents for what its worth. Good luck to you! They run around $50/box for the brand patches, and anywhere from $20-$30 for the store brand.
They do work if you follow the directions carefully, and follow the dosing accordingly.
As mentioned above, if the patches don-t work for you, consider the new drug Chantix. It is new on the market, and working in a pharmacy, I-ve heard one person say they didn-t like how it made them feel. We-ve had people stop smoking already in the short amount of time it-s been out.
Good luck, and I wish you the best!Hi sorry I didn-t catch your name now. I don-t know about the patches, but I-m pretty sure about one thing, if you want to quit for good, become a non-smoker, not somebody that stopped smoking. Let me explain, if you are really really serious, you will end it there and then. Smoking, to my opinion, is an addiction, and like any addiction, you will have to persevere not to succumb to it. But, I have some good news for you. I became a non-smoker on 19 Jan 1995. My husband quit almost two years ago. He read a book -ALLAN CAR-s EASY WAY TO STOP SMOKING.- I don-t know what is written in the book, but it worked! Not only for him, but he is lending the book to other people, one has already read it, and also became a non-smoker...there must be something in that book! Maybe you can try it? I-m sure it-s available on internet. Have faith and be strong! Take Good Care Tina-BellaSeems like they-re $30 or $40-something a box.
