How to stop smoking?? -

i need to quit within the next 3 months,i smoke around 7/8 a day,any advice/experience will be very much apriciatedI quit smoking because I didn-t want to die or end up at the nursing home. There is no trick or gimmick that will help. Just stay away from people that smoke and you should be ok. Good luck.If you are on 7/8 a day then go down to 4/5, then 1/2. I have and on the verge of quitting.I used to be on over 100 per week and in 2 short months now on 1/2 a day (4/5 at weekends).

Good Luck.I am a first time cigarette quitter, below is what i do:
- Cold Turkey
- Although everyone recommend nicotine patch/gum, i don-t like them
- Drink A LOT and A LOT and A LOT of water, preferably 2 ltr per day minimum. Drink evenly don-t swallow all at once, about a glass an hour.
- Exercise, run 10 miles each day. --- JK, start from walking, slowly build your time up.
- Get a full body check up if you find anything unusual.

Depend how heavy you have been smoking, you will most likely experience the following:
- cough
- chest congestion
- depression

If you feel uncomfortable, go to doctor.Just don-t smoke. That-s how it works! honest, I-ve done it. You feel such a fool when you realise after all these years ..............You don-t need to ask any of us to tell you what to do. You know what to do yourself. It-s a question of whether you REALLY want to stop or not. There must be a very good reason for you to say that you needed to quit within the next 3 months. For the sake of whatever that reason and for yourself; with determination, just turn your back to that stick of weed. You know it-s good for yourself, it-s good for everyone. Most of all, you know it-s the right thing to do.Im trying to quit also, I found these tips that hopefully can help us.
Honey is the best food source that is rich in vitamins, enzymes, proteins and amino acids that helps dealing with cigarette addiction and helps in quit smoking.
Eating high alkaline foods also helps to quit smoking.
Mix fresh grated radish with 2 teaspoon of honey and drink it as a juice.
Chewing licorice stick is a safe and the best substitute for a cigarette and helps in quit smoking.
Drinking grape juice is the best drink that helps to quit smoking.
Orange juice is acidic in nature and the first step in quitting smoking as to eliminate the nicotine from the body. Drinking orange juice twice a day is useful.
Dissolve two tablespoons of baking soda also called sodium bicarbonate in a glass of water and drink this with every meal. This will help in quitting the habit of smoking.

when i give up drinking alcohol i drunk green tea that did the trick not sure if it work on smokingwear a pair of boxing gloves all dayjust stop, try not to think about it and tell everybody not to ask you how your doing with it, that-ll just make you think of them more.
good luckwell it depends on how long you have smoked you dont seem to be smokin heaverly so it should be easyer then some try patches, gum, and all the other stuff good luck!!\

Last year I joined a quit smoking -course- ( see your doctors surgery) They put me on microtabs, They worked really well and I gave up for over a month, first time without a cigerrette in 37 years. Alas I had a relapse.. So I have gone back(last week) to the -course and they have given me some tablets. So fingers crossed

Good LuckThe secret is first to have your mind ready and it-s damn hard but if you just hold it for 4 days that-s all what it takes to be free from slavery and I say free from SLAVERY for good.
I personaly will advice you to fast(no food, no coffee, alcohol, sex, for 4 days and nights) then everytime you feel for a cigarette instead of burning one try to breath very deep as they do it in meditation cause you need oxygene in your lung and not poison.
