Do yourself a favour and buy -The EasyWay- by Allen Carr! Switched me off like a light bulb!I GAVE UP 15 MON TS AGO , I USED ZYBAN ; ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THEM . LET ME KNOW IF THAY WORK FOR YOUthere is an herb called lobelia which is sold in many herb shops with a combination of other herbs which helps...you will also want to do a detox as the body starts to detox it sends a single to the brain that it wants more...so detoxing is a great start...herb shops also sell great herbs and vitamins that support the body in that way as well.Several people i know who stopped had tried all sorts of things, but at the end of the day, the only thing that made them stop is: they woke up one day and decided that-s it. That was the only permanent solution.

The other thing is, it could be that if you are asking, then inside you don-t really want to. People, in general, are good at pretending they are helpless when in fact, they can do everything they want.I have tried many.... patches, gum, inhaler, therepy, then I found something that changed my life hypnosis. Most Hospitals have a Chemical Dependency center that has Smoking Cessation classes. It worked very well for me, - the price was reasonable!you can try the patch, the gum, hyptnotizing... or even go to counsellingask ur doctor to put u on to smoking sensations they give good help.and free patches if ur unemployed. There are various products -- Nicorette for example -- that you can get from the drug store that will help you quit, but there isn-t any magic pill. If you want to quit, YOU are the one who is going to do it.
There are several popular techniques. One suggests cutting back gradually. I tried that, and it didn-t work. Limiting the number of cigarettes per day just seemed to increase cravings. So then I tried cold turkey. It wasn-t easy, but it worked. I took up knitting and crochet, just to keep my hands busy (that-s a big part of the problem. Your hands are used to holding on to that little cylindar) and know some guys who carry a pencil with them, just to hold in their hand and twiddle between their fingers. Sounds silly, but it really helps. I also rewarded myself with jelly beans. Instead of a cigarette, I had a jelly bean. And to work off the jelly beans, I made sure to go for a serious walk every day. That was a good move, because I never smoked when I was walking or hiking, so there was no association between cigarettes and that particular activity. I also took up swimming, for the same reason. And these two activities also helped prevent me from getting a jelly-bean buildup!
If you fall off and have a cigarette, don-t give up and think you can-t do it. You can. Just start your program all over again, and try to build in as many supports as you can and diminish temptations.
Good luck to you!
