Hi. I am pursuing Masters and I live in the Hostel. After coming here , I acquired the habit of smoking. I smoke 2-3 cigarettes a day. I have been trying since 3 months to quit , but i am not able to. i quited 3-4 times, but that remained just for 2-3 days. There are too many smokers here and I have an all time access to it, as here people share the cigarettes too. So anytime someone smoking is visible , I can have it. Plus away from home, there are not little restrictions or anything. How can I quit completely? Plz help guys2-3 cigarettes a day is hardly bad. I-m sorry, but you shouldn-t have a hard time quitting. It doesn-t sound like you are head over heals addicted yet because as you mentioned -There are too many smokers here and I have an all time access to it- Just put them down, IF you really want to quit will power should work wonders for you if its only been 3 months.A trick you might try would be to think of something that-s very revolting to you. Something you really dislike to do, hear, eat etc. Each time you feel the need to light up a cigarette, just think of this revolting thing and hopefully the urge to smoke will go away.
