plz tell how to stop.....First have someone to help you out probably a person who has the same problems. Remember never ever give up and if you do fall down just -dust yourself off and start over again-. I know that is easy said than done but you will thank yourself and your life also. As you said, smoking is an addiction. It-s not something that most people can just stop doing cold turkey. There are biological/chemical reasons that cause it to be difficult to quit smoking, BUT it can be done.
First, go see your doctor and let he/she know that you would like to quit smoking. If you don-t have a regular doctor, go see one at your local community hospital/clinic. Locate smoking cessation support groups in your area. There is also a mental/emotional component to smoking as well. This support group will help you by giving you an opportunity to be will people who are experiencing the same thing as you are and can offer you support/encouragement. The physical aspects can be overcome by using the various nicotine gums or patches. The gum will help with the oral fixation that smokers often need to overcome.
You can do this. Start today by not smoking each cigarette to completion. You can also smoke one less cigarette. Ex: if you usually smoke 10 a day only smoke 9. Tomorrow only smoke 8 etc.
It may not be an easy road for you but you can get it done. Just take your time and seek out help from the community. There are many resources out there to help you but you have to take those first steps. Just think about the benefits you will gain by stopping. You and your belongings will no longer smell like smoke. You won-t have/get the yellow finger tips/nails. You could also be adding guality years to your life. I-m sure your family and friends would love that. Your quitting benefits everyone. I-m sure the world is a better place with you in it, so please do what you need to do to stay here longer!

Good luck and God bless!Since its pretty much impossible to quit all at once, id say cut back at first, idk how much you smoke, but cut it in half for a week, then slowly reduce the number every day or so, and eventually keep it at 1-2 cigarettes a day, one when you wake up and one after dinner. then try that for a bit of time, then you can reduce that and then maybe 1 once a week. then you should be ready to quit altogether.
When you do quit, get some nicorette, they just came out with a cinamon one that isnt bad at all, and try chewing regular gum alot.
Pick up other habits like running, or working out to help keep your mind off smoking, but dont try eating, otherwise youll eat to much haha, but you can also go places where you know you cant smoke. go out to a restaurant or bar, or club, or go to the movies. try doing something so you definately cannot.
Also, clean out your car really nice, so that youll have no motivation to smoke in there, cuz then ashes will go everywhere.
Bite on your pens or pencils if you have to, better that than smokin, ya know?
If you think you need something stronger, go to the doctor and have them prescribe you CHANTIX. Definately works, my mom did it and shes been smoking her whole life, and after about 8 days she didnt even want a cig at all. it totally makes your cravings go away to the point they almost make you sick.

All this products on TV don-t work what works is to slowly wen off cigarettes, Just smoke so many a day and then after a seek smoke less so your body can get accustomed less and less netitine. And also if your ever sick and go to teh hospital and can-t smoke for a while when you come out why start back up becuase when your in the hospital they will give you something to replace the netitine. You probably will want to plan out a loose path to follow as far as setting milestones and timelines for your progress. If you don-t hit exactly, don-t fret - its a tough road, but it gives the ultimate reward in the end: your health.
All the best, and good luck.When I quit I tryed cold turkey at first. That was a big joke for me. Using resorces like nicotine patches or gum could help. I used the patch and it seemed to help me. Use hard candy too to keep your mouth occupied. If you feel the urge to smoke take your mind off of it by doing something to keep you busy like going for a run (its a great way to get into shape too). Quiting smoking is really hard so make sure you tell your friends. They can be a really great support system and help keep you on track. You also need to find out what triggers you to somke.. is it the people you hang out with? Is it the movies you watch? What is it? You need to get rid of all of your cigarettes and find a better habit
You seem pretty young, and i dont think you want to end up with emphzema... This is a disease caused by smoking and it narrows your breathing passageways....
Try this... get a regular plastic straw andput i in your mouth. Don-t breathe through your nose, breathe through the straw... Do a couple of jumping jacks and then sit down. Is this how you want to breathe? If it is.. theres only one way to get there, by smoking.
If you do develop emphyzema, you wll probably have to get a lung transplant. And usually, after about 5-10 years, the body rejects them, and it doesnt end well.
So, try quitting cold turkey.. just STOP! find something else to do. Try eating sunflower seeds.... or find something else that will keep your hands and mouth busy.

good luckok. first, think of all of the bad things those cigarettes are doing to you. Think to yourself, -if i have one, im going to die of cancer or heart disease!- that should make you worried. if i knew that something i was doing caused cancer or heart disease and put people around me in danger, then i would deff stop. ok now do this: every day that you go without smoking, reward yourself with something. Also, try candy cigarettes. I know that sounds stupid, but it works. Buy CANDY ones not REAL ones. just STOP BUYING REAL ONES thats really all you have to do because if you dont buy them, how are you gonna smoke? perfect! and if your friend offers you one, say NOO!
