k so about 3 months ago my mom stopped smoking but she started to gain weight, she-s doing exercises every day for about 4 weeks now but there is no difference difference, i accidentally heard that she-s thinking to start smoking again only to stop gaining weight, im 18 and im ready to do anything to help my mom. any ideas ???? anything will helpStart looking up healthier recipes you can make her for dinner and go through the trouble of preparing healthy snacks for her. When you-ve got the munchies, it-s all too easy to reach into the cupboard for processed foods instead of reaching for something healthy. But if there-s already veggies cup up, it makes it a lot easier to nibble on the right things.Also, if you-re serving dinner keep a close eye on portion sizes. Too often people are eating good foods, but just too much of them because we no longer realize what a portion really looks like. (a bagel, for example, is 3-4 servings of bread!)
I hope she-s only saying it out of frustration - it took me many tries to finally quit smoking for good and most times I put on weight. I can-t imagine using that as an excuse to start smoking again since smoking is so much worse for you than carrying around a few extra pounds.ASK HER WHICH SHE WOULD PREFER - BEING A LITTLE OVER WEIGHT OR GETTING CANCER AND DYING EARLY? SHE ISN-T SEEIN RESULTS FOR 2 REASONS - SHE STILL EATS JUNK FOOD AND SODA AND WHEN SHES AT THE GYM SHE DOES NOT CHALLENGE HERSELF U GOT TO INCREASE YOUR WORKOUT RESISTANCE AND TIME TO SEE BETTER RESULTS - GET HER TO TALK TO A FITNESS COACHYou can tell her that there are alot of smokers who stay overweight after smoking. It-s all in the mind. Only she can control it.
