How do i get my family to stop smoking? -
my grandma, my papa and my mom smokes. how do i get them to stop. my great gma just died of lung cancer last augest n i thought for sure that they would stop after that but my gma said she wants to smoke more. i am always nagging them to stop smoking. they dont listen.ive tried to get them to go to the doctors n they wont go. i tried to get them to stop by getting them out as much as i can but nothing seems to work.
i am only 12 turning 13 so i cant do much. but what can i do atleast?
ohh n i told them the symtoms but they dont listen. even my great aunt tries to make them stop. she tried to bribe them into goin on a trip. my grat aunt said if she stops buying cigs n there would be enough n whatever extra was left to pay she would pay it. the trip wasnt for another yr but they didnt buy it. they kept smoking n didnt go on a trip.
i dont know what to do at this point. i got them to smoke less but that is still not good enough for me.
please help n any ideas u have tell me. n if u didnt read all of this just answer what the title says!! thanks.!!

The main reason people can-t stop smoking is beacause they are addicted to nicotine. To solve this there is nicotine gums, tablets and shots.
People that smoke also have special -associations- with smoking, for example they smoke when they are stressed, or angry. To help them you need to find out what makes them smoke. If it is stress(part of it probably is stress) then all you can do is try to help out more with chores and other things.
They also may say that is out of habit-if that happens you might want to help them decrease the amount they smoke gradually, and try to find any programs in your local library/health center/online.
Also when my dad was quitting- he would eat cheese. Yes cheese! Every time he wanted to smoke he would grab a peace of cheese and he says that helped him quit. He is the only one of his brothers that quit smoking!
