I-ve stopped smoking 4 months ago...Firstly congrats on quitting. It normally takes up to 3 days for nicotine to completely leave your body after you stop smoking.
Nicotine is a fast acting and fast leaving drug, it usually acts to relieve a craving in about 7 seconds of lighting a cigarette and has left your body enough to cause a craving about 20 minutes after a cigarette is put out.How much does it take for the human body to eliminate all the nicotine traces after one stops smoking ? -
What would give someone the will to stop smoking? -
What would give someone the will to stop smoking? -
what would give someone the will to stop smoking?
im stuck on homework
i have to write a report on what would give someone the will to stop smoking
can anyone help please?Well my uncle had recently died from lung cancer, which made both my mom and my brother quit smoking.. So a death in the family or a friends death would scare someone into quitting.. Other than that, they need to find the will on their own, and need to find a reason for themselves to quit. If a smoker doesn-t have a reason to quit, they tend to struggle quite a bit than if someone who had a reason for quitting. You know what I mean?Hi!
I believe that no one had run away REALLY off cigarettes until the return just looking for excuses for smoking.
Every smoker knows what a terrible and deadly habit, this, this is cigis the box, all this talk.
Who want to quit and to stop for a moment to think consciously and in detail how you make sense (its own money, health, lose every time) and assign an object under his own life ... maybe due to the changes .. if you can draw strength and Looking to help, you can choose nicotine-free!
(I think the nicotine patch, gum, electronic cigarettes ..
ourselves scam and nothing else......)
Sincerely, E.you cant make someone give up they have to be willing to do it themselves i was a smoker and i gave up nearly 4 months ago i was on 20-25 a day nothing ever wanted to make me give up eg: adverts about cancer etc. Just one day i decided i was going to give up and that was thatWell i tried absolutely everything and in the end it was finding out that i was pregnant that gave me the will power to stop. As soon as i took that test and it came back positive i threw my cigs away and have not smoked sine (two years)*the fact that someone that i knew died from smoking.
*once you have children, you wont want to affect their lives with it?
although i don-t have children i know my parents gave it up for me and my brother.
hope this helps (:
xxxMoney and any other great want.
Tell them how much they spend and how much they-ll end up spending. Or like someone above said, bet them a bunch of money that they can-t have one for a year, you may lose some money, but its worth it.my best friend smoked for 5 years, i made him a $500 bet that he wouldn-t smoke for a year. he won. i paid up. he hasn-t smoked since.I-m a smoker - and I think a picture of what my lungs look like might make me give up. It-s all the more real if you can actually SEE the damage to your OWN body.family death related to smoking?
a picture of their lungs maybe?
near death experience because of smoking
disease because of smoking
seeing their children smokeI would suggest that you write the drawbacks of smoking such as HEART DISEASE, LUNG CANCER and all...This will definitely discourage the smokers.....What would give someone the will to stop smoking? -
I heard of a Easy Way To Stop Smoking Allen Carr, does it work ? -
I heard of a Easy Way To Stop Smoking Allen Carr, does it work ? -
I saw it here on Yahoo Answers. Does anyone know about it ?Short answer - yes.
I was a very heavy smoker for 27 years and tried everything to quit but had no success at all. Just over seven years ago I attended an Allen Carr seminar in Sydney and since then I have never once had a desire to light a cigarette. And my story is a pretty common one. Take a look at the thousands of testimonials on the Allen Carr website, or read some of the hundreds of reviews of the book, which is based on the seminar, on Amazon.
This man saved my life. No doubt about it.I heard of a Easy Way To Stop Smoking Allen Carr, does it work ? -
How to stop smoking and drinking when you are 14? -
How to stop smoking and drinking when you are 14? -
I-m 14, a girl. I have started smoking 1.5 year ago. I think i am addicted. I have tried quitting but my friends smoke so it is impossible.
Also I drink beer and wine regularly, when i meet up with my friends.
Hanging out with my friends wouldn-t seem that fun if we didn-t smoke or drink.. we usually just sit, talk, smoke and drink. Sometimes i even feel like i don-t want to stop, i feel like there-s no point in stopping.
I-ve been taking Valium once in a while until ended up in a hospital because of mixing it with Vodka. I thought that was gonna change my opinion..but it didn-t..i just don-t drink Vodka anymore... Help, I really want convince myself that i want to stop, then stop, on my own.You have got to find something else to do with your time. If you and these friends are so addicted together you may need to cut back on time spent with them to focus on you. You are doing your body a horrible disservice and you know that. It may also help you to see what becomes of those that keep up the addiction for years. I mean have you ever seen a healthy and good looking crackhead? Just keep your future in mind and remember that they are not going to stop making alcohol and whatever it is you-re smoking so just try giving it a break. Once you do it will get easier and easier to go without it. Trust me.1. stop hanging out with your friends who drink and smoke! in fact, they are not friends, they-re a bunch of addicts who hang out together and talk sh*t instead of wanting to do something with their lives.
2. go see a therapist or a counselor who can advise you about rehab possibilities
3. if you really want to stop ingesting that poison, then you MUST stop hanging out with those who do. that is the first step. it-s a crutch you-ve been using to escape what-s bothering you in real life. Then make up your mind and stop. I will get harder the longer you keep doing it.Just keep kidding yourself, that-s what I didHow to stop smoking and drinking when you are 14? -
Do you think tobacco companies should open rehab centers for those addicted who want to quit smoking? -

Millions of people are hopelessly addicted and want to quit but can-t. The addiction is so bad that even all their friends dying from lung cancer doesn-t stop them. Many people near death still have to light up to the very end.
I smoke about 2 packs a day. If there was a rehab center for stopping smoking, I would definitely check in. What are your thoughts on this?sure it would be one hell of a way for them to give back to those that they have -addicted- and it should be free and on their dime, but that would cut into their profits too much so never gonna happenI don-t think tobacco companies should be the ones to open them. They are making a profit off of us and nobody put a gun to your head to start smoking. I smoke too, but I wouldn-t expect the tobacco companies to open rehab centers. I think independent medical centers should have some kind of programs for this. Something like AA with support would work wonders for people trying to quit. This can be a very serious addiction for some people and they find it almost impossible to quit. Some sort of rehab facility or support groups would be fantastic.yes they should.. tobacco is as addictive as any drug. My dad died of lung cancer.. but here I sit puffing away!Do you think tobacco companies should open rehab centers for those addicted who want to quit smoking? -

dose any of the damage that it caused to your lungs repair it-s self or is that it?You cannot undo all the harm that 25 years smoking has done, but a lot of it will heal in time and, of course, by stopping now you prevent further damage! You repare some - but it takes years!!!
But it-ll be worth it - need to give myself that advice!!The body will repair most of the lung tissue, but the process is very slow. The general rule of thumb is that if you smoke for 10 years, it will take your body 10 years to fully recover from the damage.it dose repair it self but slowly.Your lungs begin to repair damage immediately, ditto with your heart. It will take a while, but keep at it, and keep up aerobic exercise to expand lung capacity and efficiency.
Still, the smoking may have done permanent damage to tissue, leading to irreversible empheseyma or genetic mutations leading to cancer. But, the sooner the better on these too.yes!! i quit in january and i feel great. no more headaches, tiredness and my skin looks better! this is an excellent site...

YOU-D SAVE ALOT OF MONTH THAT-S FOR SUREi just read an advert in the doctors office today about the benefits of quitting smoking. it takes years for your lungs to fully repair but getting healthy comes in strides. check out this website, it has lots of info. www.nicotine-anonymous.org/it depends I think on how long you smoked for, what age you were when you started and how any you smoked a day.i dont smokingif you havnt smoked for long, there will be little or no damage to your lungs. on the other hand, if you smoked for many years, your lungs are damaged and you cant change themSome of the answers sound good, but I don-t think your lungs can be repaired to any great extent. Once you-ve done the damage, that-s it ! ! !i would ask my dad but he died a year after quitting fags
he smoked all of his 65 yrs never remember him being ill
if that-s any consolation . no hanging around geriatric homes
or hospitals either as it turned out. a silver lining on a cloud
i think.Well yes , its not too late, but you really need to do it Nowwwwwwwwwwwww, unless you just want to be another statistic, and remember a lot of Hospitals are refusing to treat people like you nowadays. Also i lost my Father aged 62
sorry if you think thats old but i think its very young ppl like him are Fools. If you stop smoking? -
