Have you tried Chantix to stop smoking? -

Have you tried Chantix to stop smoking? -

I REALLY want to quit smoking...got a scrip for Chantix and now I am hearing horror stories. I don-t know anyone personally who has tried it. I-m looking for personal experience. Is it the wonder drug or a trip to hell?My father smoked 3 packs a day since he was 15 - he is now 56 and smoke free because of chantix - I-m starting it on my birthday (aug 16) because like you I-m just over it.The wife and I have a box for each of us sitting on top of the fridge, but I too have heard horror stories, and she keeps buying freaking cartons, so who knows if it works or not.

10 years, and sick of the energy loss, and wasted money, so I feel your pain, plus we have a child that requires mommy and daddy play constantly... :D

Last time I quit was cold turkey for only 2 weeks, but many swear by Chantix.

Good luck!Yes, I used it for six months and the only side effects I had were mild nausea after I took the pills and vivid dreams. More serious side effects are a known hazard, though, including suicidal ideation. If you-ve ever suffered from depression or thought about sucide, I wouldn-t go near it, and needless to say, if you find yourself having such thoughts you should stop taking it and call your doctor! Or even check yourself into the hospital for observation. My friend tried it and she didn-t want to stop and it helped her stop. I heard it was great.
I hope it works for you that would be great.I know a few people who have tried it. Out of 4 people I know, 1 of them totally lost his mind and attempted suicide by slicing his throat. The other 3 are perfectly fine and had good results.

I used Chantix to stop smoking after 51 years!! I could not believe how well it worked. You can smoke for the first week you are on the Chantix, but if you are like me you will find that after being on the medication for a few days, you don-t want to smoke. The prescription is expensive, but well worth it. I took it for seven weeks and stopped because I had some nausea in the mornings that would not go away. I have been smoke free for 104 days and don-t miss it a bit. GOOD LUCK!!loose your lighter. throw your matches in the bin put your fags in a blender and don-t buy any more.

nicorette stuff sounds good tooBy stopping setting yourself alight.

Oh come on! There is so much help out there, with patches, gum and clinics.
