Does anyone know the easiest way to stop smoking!? -

Do not answer this unless you were a smoker!!im afraid theres no easy way around this one because of the fact its an addict habbit. the best advice is to pick a date and prepare - get rid of all ashtrays, lighters etc. when that day comes then stop the cigs. you will need alot of willpower! if you can get nicotine replacement theraphy from your doctor - comes in lots of different forms, patches, gum, inhalors, nasal sprays. these are useful cas take the urge off your cravings.
keep busy aswell to keep your mind off the cigs. snack on healthy things because you will find you will prob eat more to replace to hand to mouth action. try and stay away from places where you would usually smoke...trigger places. eg if u smoke alot while talking on the phone try and find something else to do because these will be hard times.
not every smoker sucessfully gives up first time and dont punish yourself if you relapse! it all takes time and isnt easy.
ooo also treat yourself to something. put the money you would have spent on cigs in a jar and watch the pennies pile up! then by yourself something nice. there are alot of support groups and websites out there and you can often pair up with a buddy and email support to each other
good luck - its tough!cold turkey and prayerthe pills you get from your docsew your mouth shut

Does smoking and brushing your teeth make you gag? -

Does smoking and brushing your teeth make you gag? -

I have been a smoker for a while but sometimes when I smoke it makes me gag and retch. Does this happen to anyone else? I know what you-re going to say..... stop smoking... but seriously, many times i have come close to throwing up but usually its just retching. It doenst happen all the time, just sometimes. Also it happens when I brush my teeth. Anyone else have similar experiences? This means that you have an extra-sensitive gag reflex. Touching the soft palate (back of the roof of your mouth) incites your gag reflex. Just about everyone experiences it when brushing their teeth (and I personally have experienced it from smoking).

Unfortunately, there-s no cure or remedy, just be aware of touching that part of your mouth. Try humming when you-re brushing your teeth and be a little more aware of how open your throat is when you-re inhaling the smoke - the wider the better. If this is happening during exhaling - the same rule applies.Yeah, it happens to me once in a while- usually when I have a hangover- either smoking or brushing my teeth! When I brush my teeth in the morning, I feel like gagging.
