did it work? What kind of side affects did you have? Did you feel angry all the time? I have notice that I get hungery even faster and it has only been 8 days and I stop smoking yesterday. I was told that your appetite won-t change! The last time I quit cold turkey I gain back all the weight and more that I had lost before I quit smoking!I dont know much about this, but i do remember seing an FDA report on this drug, just last week
i only scanned the report, but you may want to look into it
it was on foxnews.com-just put the drug into the searchHi!
Yes. I took.

I was NOT hungry all the time but did have some pretty wild and enjoyable dreams.......... still trying to quitmy mom just quit after about 35 years of smoking and shes doing real good on it. 2 weeks clean so far. only side-effect shes noticed is a little bit of gas. dont worry too much about weight gain, youll probably gain some just from the -comfort eating- while youre going through the worst of it. it will taper off and you can work on those few pounds once youve conquered the addiction.Has anyone taken Chantix to help stop smoking? I have just given up smoking but cannot use nicotine patches etc as they make me ill but i cant get out of the bad mood that im in and im on the verge of strangling my 3 year old daughter. How long will i feel this way and does anybody have any tips for staying off the fags but staying in a good mood?Drink a lot of water, eat things with protein, peanuts, peanut m-m-s that sort of thing. The cravings are strongest for the first three days as the nicotine gets out of your system after that it-s psychological. Taking walks helps, too and they [walks] might tire your little one out enough to take a nap and give you a break. Best of luck to you and if you need a smoking cessation buddy, I am here for you.it doesn-t last too long, but it is different for everybody, I munched on carrot sticks when I was craving a cigarette. I couldn-t use patches etc as I was pregnant. A good tip is to avoid alcohol for a couple of months, especially if you tended to smoke more when you had a drink.Hahahaha. Try not to strangle her! You should only feel this way this STRONGLY for the first 3 days or so. Try eating sunflower seeds or chew gum in the meantime. Affirmations for quitting smoking (-I breathe clean, fresh air. I am stronger than any habit-)are a good way to remind you of the reasons for quitting smoking. Good luck! I-ll be going through what you-re going through soon because I plan to try quitting (AGAIN!) also...I gave up smoking 5 months ago having read Allen Carr-s Easy Way to Stop Smoking. I cannot recommend it enough, it changed my life! Forget patches, gum or other replacement therapies - Allen Carr completly changes your way of thinking regarding smoking. I smoked for 20 years and thought I-d be a smoker till the day I die (literally!). In his book he has great psychological advice for giving up including how to get past the first few days/weeks of not smoking.
Also, the herb St John-s Wort is very good at treating mild depression, etc so you could give that a go - this might help alleviate your mood swings.
Most of all, keep it up, you CAN do it and please...read Allen Carr-s book!get you hands to do something come on Internet draw etc angry count to 100excersise!!!!!The answers that you-re seeing are actually right. The most successful stop smoking method is going Cold Turkey. It-s the most successful by FAR. But you have to be to the point of disgust where you-re ready to make the decision to just stop.

I stopped smoking without getting ratty with the help of two things, one was Allen Carr-s book and the other nicotine gum.
It took me three attempts to succeed but I realise now I wasn- t really ready to give up on the first two attempts.
You have to really really want to give up for it to succeed it-s no good if you are giving up because the media is telling you to.
I have heard that using oil of black pepper in a burner takes away the craving but I haven-t been able to get hold of any yet.try the nicotine gum...Stop smoking? -

We literally have a picnic everyday at work and it-s showing on my hips, waist, and in my health. It-s time for it to stop but I don-t know how to stop it. All the eating goes on right in my work area. These people have already said that they aren-t interested in -healthy eating,- so suggesting that they join me isn-t going to work. I don-t want them around me with all the fried, greasy food. It-s just like if you were trying to stop smoking, you wouldn-t hang out with smokers. But these people are my friends and I just don-t know how to stop this. Any suggestions???Blame your doctor!
-My doctor says my cholesterol/ triglycerides/ blood sugar is too high and I can-t eat chocolate/fried chicken/too much fat-.
-That looks good, but my doctor says to stay away from ice cream/fried foods/cookies. He-s really mad at me!-
-This looks great--I-ll just take a tiny bit of it since my doctor told me to avoid butter/sugar until my blood sugar/cholesterol goes down a little.-
-This looks wonderful! I had a huge breakfast and I-m so full--can I take a piece of it home to enjoy tonight?-
Change the sentence to suit whatever food your co-workers and employer are offering you. If you say you-re dieting, you-ll just get unwanted diet advice. I have used all of the above tactics to avoid unhealthy foods as well as foods that looked really nasty. You won-t offend anyone and it will look as though you WANT to eat that stuff, but your doctor won-t let you.Just say to them you want to be healthy and don-t want to continue eating non-healthy food.I had the same problem at my last job. We didnt- have picnics, but my boss wanted to buy us lunch nearly every day. It was a really nice gesture, but he bought really unhealthy food.
I finally just put my foot down. I told him that I was struggling to lose weight and that while I appreciated it, I needed to bring my own lunch. After that, he would offer to buy but stopped pushing me to order in with everyone.
I suggest you tell everyone politely that you-re trying to lose weight. Just take care not to make it sound like you-re looking down on them. If they get offended, there-s not much you can do. But it-s not worth protecting their feelings if it makes you unhealthy.IF they were your friends, they would support you in your efforts to live a healthier life. These people just sound like really selfish jerks. I would ask them to take the food elsewhere, it doesn-t belong in the work space anyway. If you can-t bring yourself to do that, then bring your own healthy food and don-t eat what they bring. That isn-t being snobbish, that is being smart, and if they can-t see that, their loss. How do I change my bad eating habits at work without coming off as a snob? -
