What can i do to get my mam and dad to stop smoking? -

What can i do to get my mam and dad to stop smoking? -

I ask myself that same question every day of my life. : -(Stop smoking is hard, but not impossibe. You can help them out to cut in half. Use some thicks with this you have to ask them a bunch of questions for you to act. They have to want it.
Ask them where they like to smoke????
The time??? When??? How??? if is after or before of??? why the smoke??? etc...
Then after you can play games with them. If they llike to smoke certain place, tell them that they going to smoke in the place that heat. If they ike to smoke after food, make them smoke before meals, If they need to have something in the mouth give them something to chew, etc. Tricks work very good to either cut the smoking or eliminate it. Hypnosis is very good, another thing quality food, nutritiona value preference. Smoking 90% of the time is not an addiction is emotional distress.1. hide there cigarettes and lighters
2. talk to them about it
3. call the quit line then say -mum its for you!- then its really not but it kinda is
4. dont you start smokingyou start smoking too!!
dont take it in just take it in your mouth and put it out.
the if your parents asks you why?
tell them im just learning from my parents!!
unless you stop i wont stopYou can’t. When and if they are ready they will.

Still craving nicotine after 3 weeks will it stop? -

Still craving nicotine after 3 weeks will it stop? -

I have been stopped smoking for 3 weeks now and I am still craving like mad. Some days are harder than others but the feeling of me needing a smoke is still there. When will this feeling subside as I have been told that it never goes away. What timescale am I out of the real danger zone as others have said you are always in the danger zone once you have been a smokerI guess it-s down to your body chemistry and your will power. Mine took almost six months and even 2 years on I still crave from time to time.

Thankfully I-ve been strong enough not to have lit up since. Just hang in there and keep yourself occupied with fun activities to keep your mind off smoking.

Also think about the money you-ve saved - I used mine to book a holiday(good motivation)Your cravings may never stop but they will lessen over time.
Just hang in there and remember that your health and wealth will greatly improve the longer you abstain from your cravings.
Nicotine is a powerful drug and it takes time to overcome the need.
They say your thoughts shift to something different every 20 seconds so if you get a craving, try to shift your thoughts to something else more pleasurable.
Good luck in your quest. You can do it.It takes up to 30 days for all the nicotine to flush out of your system. Give it another two weeks if you think you can hold on for the cravings to subside some. I can-t say whether the want for a cigarette goes away, but have known many people that quit and went back to smoking not much later. Congratulations on your success so far on your way to a better you. What method did you use to quit? Cold turkey?
I used the patch. It helped to ween me off of nicotine without getting hit full blast with the cravings. I used each step for 2 weeks (which took 6 weeks total) and I-ve been smoke free for 10 months.
I had mild to moderate cravings while I was on the patch, and that includes a week or two after I finished using the patch. But I found that as long as I stayed away from other smokers I was able to quickly move on from my cravings. Gradually they started to hit me less and less.
I can tell you that I do still have cravings from time to time, but they only seem to last for a few seconds and they go away.

STAY STRONG YOU CAN DO IT!!!!Eventually, the smell of cigarette smoke will nauseate you. Once in a while you will still experience a craving, however, just hang in there b/c a craving only lasts for 3-5 minutes, and you can easily distract yourself for 3-5 minutes. The fact that it has been 3 weeks is wonderful and you are on your way! It has been a year and a half for me! Good luck! Here are some helpful facts for you:

http://www.smokehelp.org/html/faq.html
good for you. i cant go 3 hours without a cig. yes, i have heard that the craving never goes away its just less as time goes by or if your stressed then it can become really bad. when my boss has a craving he chews On a tooth pick until it subsides. find something else to chew on or other healthy habit when you feel these cravings and hopefully it will help. just remember that if you even have 1 cig you will end up smoking more then you did before you quit and it will get even harder to quit the next time.your past the worst of it now but I still crave nicotine and Ive nearly reached 4 months! I don-t think it will ever fully go away but I feel good about not smoking now because i am proud of how far ive come when i didn-t think i would make it a day! id say that the real danger zone is the first month, once you-ve don-t a month you get the -proud- feeling!

keep going, you can do it! its worth it!about 6 weeks it wont go away but it does get easier. when your having a craving for a smoke distract yourself yes easier said than done, or have something to eat like a apple, the worst thing you could do is reach for the crisps and biscuits so always stick to something healthy. what i found that helped me was painting. You have done really well so far. Do not give in now as you will really regret doing so.(Voice of experience!!). As mentioned it is a slow process but you will get there if you maintain the willpower. I stopped 5 years ago and still can-t stand being anywhere near a smoker. Your health will improve and your pocket will be heavier with cash. Good luck you can do it.Well I stopped in 1987 but I still feel there is something missing.

It leaves a big hole in your life, but really , it is just a filthy habit and you learn to live with these unfulfilled cravings.

Well done! - You have kicked this embarrassing, disgusting habit and you should feel really proud ( and considerably richer)3 - 5 weeks is the worst so stick with it don-t give up and don-t think that one drag won-t make a difference IT WILL and you WON-T be in control - it will get better so raise above itYou have got though the hardest part. It-s not the nicotine you crave. It the feeling you associate to smoking. Keep busy and think of all the wonderful benefits. Keep going, it gets a lot easier!its hard but keep at it what helped me and this sounds strange but every time i craved a fag i had a spoon full of red cabbege is swear it helped and i have not smoked in 10 yearsIt DOES go away after time. Stick to it!!! Every day will be easier, and in time, you will be FREE. Been there 15 years ago, and I never think it it.It does go in time, - however I still get a craving when someone is smoking sitting in the garden on a hot sunny afternoon. I gave up 1974I-m not sure but I just wanted to say...
A GREAT BIG WELL DONE TO YOU!!!!
Keep up the great new you.

You are now a NONE SMOKER XMy Friend as been stopped 15 weeks and still craves for one,but keep at it,time is the Healer

Not getting a hard firm erection like i used to? -

Not getting a hard firm erection like i used to? -

i only get a semi erection every since friday which i had whiskey dick that night and couldnt have sex with her. i think that smoking is causing the problem though, since it has been a while and i still haven-t gotten a full erection. i used to get very hard very easily.
anyone give me some tips, if smoking will actually solve the problem? i-m gonna stop smoking for 3 days and see if i can get one. but until then i-m looking for all your inputI would say you should see a doctor. There is definitely something wrong if you can-t get really hard at your age. You should be having full erections.Dude you gotta stop smoking and lay off the bottle, too.
If you want to be healthy, man, it-s the only way.If your seventeen and having difficulty with erestions, your should see a doctor as soon as possible!

Smoking will affect you, but at 17 you won-t notice it!

See your doctor first! If you smoke marijuana, it will definitely cause problems with getting a full erection and also cigarettes do cause erectile dysfunction. (Men who smoked more than 20 cigarettes daily had 60 percent higher risk of erectile dysfunction, compared to men who never smoked.)
So cut the smoking FOREVER because it-s very bad for you (but i am sure you know) and limit the alcohol. You dont give enough info,, smokeing just doesnt do that like that,,, You didnt give an age, any type of medication, were you drinking, did you masturbate first, ,, there are many things that cause it,,, and erection is about 80 perent mentalHow old are you? If you drink too much and smoke too much, there are a lot of things you will have more and more trouble doing.

Please go see your doctor.

Edit: Ah, you-re 17. At that age, you should have NO problem with rock hard....you know.

Your problem is emotional or physical. Emotionally, do think have premarital sex is wrong? Do you not want to turn this girl into a sl_t? Did you lie to her to get her in bed? Will her father kill you if he finds out? Do you have latent homosexual tendencies? Could she have a communicable disease? Any of these being true could prevent you from performing.

Physically, at 17, I doubt smoking has an affect. If you were drunk,...yes...that hinders performance. If you have too much to drink, you cannot perform (not sure anyone explained that to you). And if you-re drinking that much at 17, you need to stop. Other physical problems could be present, like cancer, so you really need to get this checked out by a doctor.

Best of luck.Men who smoke will eventually have a hard to getting an erection. Smoking lead to peripheral artery disease. This reduces the blood flow to parts of your body, including your penis. It is permanent if you don-t take action to quick smoking now. I -m not sure exactly what has lead to your inability to get an erection, but this will happen if you continue to smoke.

I would see a doctor if this doesn-t clear up soon. Good luck.
