Well, I-m not sure you should be eating it, but maybe try CHEWING a different gum for a whileUse mouthwash to keep the infection out of your tounge.chew sunflower seedsCan you switch to sugar free drops? Halls makes some vitamin C fruity drops and menthol ones. They-re not bad.wow, how much gum do you chew per day? Ever thought of getting those mini-carrots? They keep you busy, don-t have many calories and your tongue won-t get that sore, I guess. I quit smoking, too (35 days ago; still counting *smile*) and know how hard it is to stay away from those devlish sticks without gaining too much weight (chocolate is calling big times). Nevertheless I didn-t fall for the gum-trick and rather stuck to all sorts of veggies being cut into bite-sizes. (Yes, you may dip, but only low calorie-dips or self-made ones from joghurt and fresh herbs, some garlic, NO salt) Good luck and stick with it!!!! Get a stress-relieve-ball, maybe it-s better to have a sore hand then a sore tongue LOLyou could have a yeast infected tongue. I can not understand why people who stop smoking need to cew gum. I just stopped cold turkey half a centruy ago.
