How do I prevent skin breakouts during detox? -

How do I prevent skin breakouts during detox? -

I have stopped smoking after 22years. This is week 5. I-m coping well, but my face looks hideous, huge spots, ~I-ve never had this before even as a teen. I know my body is detoxing. What-s the best way of preventing this breakout? Any help would be greatfully received!You-ll have to let your body self-heal - and, unfortunately, this is one of the problem areas. Let nature take its time and, within a couple of weeks, your skin should be looking better. Drink plenty of water too, though, to help wash the toxins out of your body.

Smoking makes you skin look way older than you are - so a couple of weeks of spots - horrible though they may be - will be well, well worth it in the end for you. Congratulations!!I know this will sound wierd but sudocream is brilliant, obvisouly, you will have some breakouts, but my skin started to clear up so much, I still get the occasional one or two but nothing like I used to. Sudocream can work miracles!!!Good luck for stop smoking.
In my opinion, drink a lot of water, eat a lot of vegetable and excercise. you can use some medicine such as panoxil5,but becareful for allergy( dry skin, itching, red faces). read carefully how to use it.I-m detoxing also.. but to the extreme I just became Vegan.. so OUCH.. pimples yes for the first month I guess..

BUT, I vanished mine by.. (TRY IT) Green Tea.

Just the green tea at the grocer, Try drinking atleast three mugs a day or 6 cups of green tea, (tastes... INTERESTING) don-t add any sugar or milk because it will still give you pimples.

But the green tea stopped me from breaking out during detox.

If you break out just sit down, relax drink a few cups of the horrible stuff and they will be gone the next morning.

I also agree with number 1 answer tea tree oil is great, but also cleanse internally with the .. green tea. :)Firstly have to say a big well done for giving up, its hard but I-ll get there too!!!

just think you have 22 years worth of detoxing to do so it-ll take a while to completely clear!!

Maybe try steaming your face, to open the pores and speed up the detox.

Or you could always have a facial and pay for it with all the money you-ve saved on cigarettes!!!!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!I don-t think you can stop the break outs. Well done stopping smoking. Keep drinking loads of water to flush the toxins through your body as quickly as poss. There are loads of over the counter spot sticks/creams so give those a try and (if you are so minded) spot concealer stick might make you feel that they are less prominent.you-re not really going to be able to stop the break outs but you can soothe them and make them less aggressive with Tea tree oil. Good luck with stopping smoking. This is a good thing! Really! I know that last wthing you want is boils all over your face for christmas, but this really is the body throwing out rubbish. It-s totally natural.

If you-re in England go to the pharmacist and ask for a cream called Panoxyl 5, it;s about £10 and they keep it behind the counter. If you prefer, you can get it on prescription from the doctor. It-s a miracle worker. Everyone I-ve known who used it (including me) was virtually spot free within 5 days.

If you-re in the US, go to any drugstore and pick up Neautrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Foam Cleanser. It-s about $6 an it-ll blitz those zits in a few days.

HUGE well done for stopping smoking. What a totally fantastic achievement! Be proud!

Happy Christmas xI stopped smoking after 43 years and had the same problem as you with my skin.
Just eat plenty of fresh fruit, vedge and drink lots water, avoid sugar if possible.

If you get a breakout, I used 20 volumn peroxide, mix half and half water and apply with cotton wool.I-ve found this very effective.

Keep up with the non smoking, you will be better for it, I promise you.
