Chantix and smoking? -

Chantix and smoking? -

I am a 50 year old male who loves to smoke. I-ve been doing a half a pack to a pack since about 27.
With this said, I know the harm and years I have taken off my life. Is there still hope to quit?
Does anyone have information about the stop smoking drug CHANTIX? I-ve heardit-s pretty good.
I have 2 young children for my age and I know smokingis eventually going to kill me. Any suggestions or experience with Chantix? Thanks.I used chantix and quit smoking in oct. It is a great quit helper. I smoked for 36 years.
go to about.com and read the forum there. If you are not sick you have not lost years of your life. The withdrawal only lasts 72 hours. The healing takes a little longerMy Son tried to stop smoking several times with no success. Then He used Chantix and stopped right away. He swears it helped him stop.My company offered Chatix to its employees. I know of a few who were able to quit with it. However, most all of them suffered the same side effect of severe heartburn. As I said, some were able to quit on it. Best bet is to give it a try if you really want to quit. Just remember, its not a magic pill, you have to be willing to set the smokes down. Good luck, I hope you are able to make it.well i tried it about a month ago.it did nothing for me.you need will power to go with it,just like any other quit smoking thing.well its obvious to state it dont have the will power.good luck trying though, hey it cant hurt, thats for sure.
