I believe the ministry offers fre needle exchange and methadone treatment for addicts .Is this same sort of support offered to smokers who wish to quit? For the record, I don-t smoke, I-m jusrt curious.Thanks to all who reply.Well if a person is admitted, the physician may order the nicoderm patches. This cost is covered. while they are in hospital at least. It is a start so to speak. As for what the government will provide upon discharge i don-t know.However it would be more pro-active on the part of the government if they had some service such as this. This could also be a platform perhaps to use in the next election period. If they want to ban smoking in all locations etc, then they should provide the support to help the smoker fascillitate this process.
Hope this helpslolHere in Wisco which was a blue state (part of Canada hey) we have good home grown which is frowned upon too.... free needle exchange should become global, along with aid to quit tobacco and alcohol....
BluntmasterActually, I believe there actually is a subsidy that is in place over them, perhaps ask a chemist or your local doctor.sorry, i don-t know, but i would just like to make a statement that if they don-t .........THEY SHOULD! if people have an addiction to smoking, it is very unhealthy.
