How can whe make pepole stop smoking and make it banned in the truough out the nation? -

bad,Here is a science project for you, so you can be properly educated on the harmful things you breath, and see which is worse, then come back and give us a report. Stand in a garage while someone smokes, with the door closed, stay in for couple of day. Then stand in a the same garage with just 1 car running, with the door closed.
Now I hope you are smart enough not to try that, but just so you understand the FACTS: you won-t die from standing in the cigarette smoke, the odds of getting lung cancer are still not that great. BUT you will be DEAD within in an hour of breathing in the exhaust from that 1 car.
I hope you are a little more educated on that FACTS, instead of listening to all the propaganda. Pollution is far more deadly, but Big Brother doesn-t want to do anything about that, that-s MONEY.First of all, you can-t. Constitution says majority rule/minority rights.

Second of all, if you can find a cure for the obesity that follows quitting the cigarettes, then you will have a chance. A lot of people do not quit smoking because they-ll gain weight.

Third of all, why don-t you get to those industrial giants who still pollute our air freely? Why not ban that? Because what they puff into our air is much worse than cigarette smoke, same with all those exhaust fumes from cars/trucks/busses. I am a non smoker, but I do believe that it is time to penalize big industry and not the smokers. Smoking was legal all these years, it is permitted by the government to produce and sell cigarettes, therefore do I not believe that anyone will actually be able to get a total ban. Government would lose too much money in taxes---because you see, it is still in the interest of the government and the tobacco giants to have smokers---why else do you think they subsidize tobacco farmers?

Cigarette smoke does create a health hazard that is tru, but what about those other pollutants that are puffed into our air, put into our drinking water, put into our food(antibiotic to make cattle and chicken bigger is one example).

A smoke free nation would be cool--but it would be even cooler if we had a nation with a clean air act which requires some major changes--but I guess that costs, so it-s easier to go after the smokers, even though if they were to quit all, we still would have air pollution.....one way would be to raise the age to buy cigarettes by one year every year.
and fine people that were under age .

after about 70 years no one could buy cigarettes.

end of the problem.

other wise there are people that will be after you.Personally I despise drunks and the wretched abuse that comes to families when alcohol dominates a persons life. I see the carnage on the highways every weekend where I work.I see the unbearable pain in the eyes of the surviving family members and loved ones. That destroys more lives than smoking ever could. It-s a great and appalling lie, that alcohol is needed to party, to have a good.time. Take care. SW RNPSmoking is a personal decision. I don-t smoke, but a few of friends do, it-s not hurting anyone.............Control freak. Sorry sometimes the truth hurts.

Stopping Smoking and feeling bloated? -

Stopping Smoking and feeling bloated? -

I stopped smoking 6 weeks ago and after the 1st week I have become really uncomfortable because of a bloated feeling all the time. I have not changed my eating habits. I am not eating more - in fact I am watching what I eat. So does anyone have any ideas what it could be? ?Could it be anything to do with Metabolism? By the way apart from this I feel great!!!!there is an incredibly long list of unusual temporary symptons that could occur when you quit. I didn-t have any ,but they are listed on the nhs site , along with e freephone numberStopping smoking can cause you to have a temporary overload of the stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol makes you gain weight. Don-t worry, when your brain has fully recovered from the withdrawal, your hormones will normalize and you-ll lose the extra weight.it could be you-re body natural reaction not having all that smoke in your body. it-s probably compensating for the smoke with gas. Drink lots of water with lemon. and congrats for quitting smoking!! :)This is probably normal, but since it has persisted for more than a month I suggest consulting a doctor.smoking actually reduces your appetite and helps you lose weight but its still bad for u...eat fiberYou are drinking too much wine.cut down on salt

And did it work for you...You have to read his book called EasyWay. He explains in the book how smoking has brainwashed you and you have to get rid of that brain washing. Yes it did work for me for about 2 weeks until i decided to go get really drunk and start smoking again!!!. It worked for both of my sisters and they havent smoked for about 3 years now. I will read the book again but this time not go and get drunk!!!!I started to read the the book on 4/11/06 and stopped smoking on the 6/11/06 and know that i will never smoke again. go here to find out more http://www.allencarrseasyway.com/ you will no be disappointedSadly Allen Carr has developed lung cancer from his years of smoking, so best wishes to him and i hope it is treatable.

what stopped me smoking was i saw some pictures of diseased lungs at
http://www.whyquit.com/
and i thought... -Do i really want that to happen to me?!- i have quit nearly two years now.Its called Easyway, its absolutely brilliant,I dont know how he does it but halfway through the book I didnt want another ciggie.

I sat with the book for 4 hours read it straight through and havent had a cig since,no withdrawal symptoms or anything,my family cant believe it.

It has a really high success rate. There is another book you can try Quit Smoking Now. It is based on a mental approach to kick the habit.

Gd luck for u all smokers out there. Hahaha. But I m not using this way.Read some very effective tips and articles on this site to help you get STOP SMOKING http://www.herbmark.com/Jarrow-Formulas_5HTP_p1592.htmlI read the book, and like you I had my doubts before reading it. I heard everyone talking about it, -all you have to do it read the book...- etc etc. It really is the easiest way to give up smoking.... bla bla bla....

I tried everything from the patches, inhalor, tablets, to Zyban and it all worked in it-s own way, but I always found myself back on the smokes sooner or later. Reading Allen-s book gets you to take a good at yourself without feeling as though you-ve entered a world of counselling or -look deep into my eyes...-... He makes it very simple. Have a look at why you smoke, and the book gives you a few tools to help you deal with the process of giving up. (I can-t explain the tools for you, you have to read them in the context of the book....) This is really something you must do for yourself.

You have to remember that you are addicted to something. Nicotine is one of the easiest things to come off, he explains how and why and you begin to understand what you-re addicted to.

Yes, the book worked for me. I-ve been off smokes for over a year, and I have no regrets, I don-t miss smoking, I never have cravings, and I-m so happy to be free from it all. And I know that I will NEVER SMOKE ANOTHER CIGARETTE IN MY LIFE. That is a given.

I really would recommend reading the book - you-ve nothing to lose (apart from the fear of giving up). Even if you do go back to them afterwards, what have you lost?
