I want to stop smoking? -

I want to stop smoking? -

How can I quit smoking. Smoke around 5-6 a day. Really want to stop it.... run for a fag when I want to run from a situation or when I am truly satisfied.....I am also sailing in the same.
First come from tensions, because, while tension, we have to feel for relax generally hands and mouth go to cigarette. Better to practice, you have maintain instead of cigarette packets, chewing gum or coffee bites. when you feel for smoke, take one chewing gum or coffee bite. Further You take water instead of ***, when you think for it. And also aim for day practice, not to smoke because my health is not well.

If you are a spiritual man, go to the temple where you trust, praise the lord, give a promise for non-smoking to the god.

It is practically very difficult to maintain these tips. Because, in my personal experience, I smoke daily 2 to 3 packets of cigarettes and Once for all I stopped smoking and after a tension mood, I again started. Further, I completely stopped due to ill health and got operated for a year long. One fine morning, I started due to my personel problems, and my colleauge is smoker and now I take 4 to 6 cigarettes daily.

If you think big, depending your mind power, you can stop completely smoking. In these course of time kindly avoid the smokers. Other wise you can attract at any time.

BETTER LUCK - STOP SMOKING - BETTER HEALTH -WEALTH.Go to

One way to do it is to cut back gradually. I don-t undersand what you say in the second part of your message.cold turkey was way too hard for me... i quit when i used a simulated cigarette (nicotine leaves the system right away but the habit of holding something in your hand and putting it up to your mouth is so hard to break), they have different kinds, i got mine from simplyquit.com combined with baby carrots, always.I have given her many menFirst, you must be highly motivated. Tell yourself you need to quit. If you already decided on quitting, quit. no ifs not buts, just quit. the sooner the better. your body doesnt want it. you dont need it. if you are having a hard time trying, take substitutes like candies. take it from me. I smoked for20 yrs but was able to quit. I stopped smoking twenty 19 yrs ago and never looked back.well wen u hav the feeling to smoke..try to think bout those people in hospital ..tat works 4 sum peopleJust stop. It-s not that hard for most people. I did it cold turkey.well if u only smoke 5/6 a day then i dont think ul hav a big prob stopping...i mean im 18 and smoke bout 15 a day so when i tried giving up its really difficult...but,if u put ur mind t it then u will....its bad 4ya!!! :)Just remember me every time you want to smoke
-You will stop soon- believe me it-s easy1. Do morning walks or jog for 20 mts.
2. Tendency to smoke is because of Free Radicals which bring us the -craving- for smoking
3. Never buy ...try to borrow a cig. and delay lightin it up (thatz what i do to)
4. From 5-6, it will be 2-3 a day
5. When it is 2-3 a day and the shame of borrowing again and again will bog us down and we quit smoking.
6. Believe me...i did that after 22 yrs of smoking
7. Will power to do anythin is possible
8. Good Luck
9. Pass it on to everybody else you know needs this advice.
10. Except the ones from whom you think you are goin to borrow the next cig.!! that is !!have a glass of water each time you wants to smoke...stop it thenyou need will power... if you dont you will never give up :) if you really want to stop the ciggys you have put them straight in the bin.. and take up a hobbygo to a hospital and ask there

Is stopping smoking dangerous.? -

Is stopping smoking dangerous.? -

I stopped smoking 3 weeks ago and since then I have broken my arm, crashed my car and put on 8lbs. in weight.LMAO!! Sucks to be you doesn-t it? Hmm come to think of it since I quit smoking I broke my leg, had four surgeries, had an 8 year relationship end, gained 30 lbs, maybe you-re onto something!!

Seriously though.....July 31st is my two year anniversary for quitting and I-m really glad I did...with cigarettes costing $75 a carton and smoking a carton a week when I quit I sure love the -extras- I have now including a nice vacation I never could have afforded while I was smoking not to mention that my health overall is a lot better.

Hang in there hon....it does get better...and **** happens whether you smoke or not, that-s life!!it is perfectly safe! cigarettes do increase metabolism though, so I would suggest that you do some exercises to compensate if you fear gaining more weight.Hi I am on my 5th week.

Better breaking your arm than this...

TAKE UP A COMPETITIVE SPORT ASAP!

Go running when your arm is better. It sounds like it is more dangerous for you than others. I don-t know the cuase of the car crash and broken arm, but some weight gain can be seen when quitting smoking. It is a temporary gain.if u smoked a lot,i heard u can have a heart attack of stopping too quickly.
but in the other hand if u continue smoking ...u-ll get a heart attack!
PPL DON-T EVEN START SMOKING!
good luck!I don-t know about the breaking your arm and crashing part that-s just your bad luck but when people stop smoking they often find they put on weight because they eat more to get rid of their cravings the best thing to do is start exercising for about 10Min-s a day then work your way up week by week example :12,14,16 you will feel loads better xXxThat-s probably because you-ve been a moody bugger cos you-ve got nicotine withdrawel.not really only if the one who stops smoking has a niccoteen fit and kills a bunch of people or them selvesyes it is!!! if i were you i would start againWell done! On stopping smoking, I love the terminology, most people say I gave up smoking which sounds as if you are deprived, stopping indicates a positive attitude, as for dangerous........continuing to smoke would be far worse. Keep up the good work.Normally, quitting smoking actually gives you more life, it doesn-t take it away. The 8 extra pounds is because you-ve been replacing food for the cigarettes -cause you miss putting that cancer stick in your mouth every 20 minutes. Get some sugar free candy and suck on that when you get the urge. Or sugar free gum. Or get a fake cigarette. As for being so clutzy during this time, it might be that you-re just too distracted by your nicotine fits, and losing concentration. I quit over nine years ago and I never did any of those things. You just have to keep the reason why you quit foremost in your mind and make it more important than life itself (-cause it is). It-s been three weeks. You-ve gotten over the major part of it. Now, all you gotta fight against, is the addiction to the action, which will be harder some days than others. I still get a stray urging to light up, especially when I get in the car to drive. You just have to replace it with something else. And try to remember what you did before you started smoking. After all, you weren-t born with a cigarette in your mouth, right? Stand firm. Remember, this too shall pass. Everything is temporary. -*)))--Weight gain yes, my bro-in-law quit 3 months ago and put on 30 pounds. As for your accidents those are just flukes. He is working on sugarless gum - trying not to eat as much. Hang in there you can do it!Gee, looks like the ghost of the Marlboro man ( who died of cancer) is after you. Seriously, continuing to smoke will kill you in a very nasty way. Get some help if you need to, but don-t pick up the cigs.again. By the way, did you take up drinking after you quit smoking? That could account for ALL your mishaps!Your withdrawal -symptoms- seem to be more severe than others.you put on 8lbs in 3 weeks ...?!VERY unlucky. Dont do it!!!! :)You should be glad you will now live longer to enjoy all the bad things that are happening.Smoke if you like it. Just know that it might kill you. It cant be dangerous. (Except the weight gain thing)Answer # 1. Yes, and you may not even live longer. You may still develop throat or lung cancer, emphesema or get shot.

Answer #2. You would not have those problems if you did not double your drinking.

Answer #3. Okay, Murphy moved in. Anytime someone tries to do something right or healthy, a few problems come along to dissuade you from continuing.

Answer #4. Stopping smoking may be dangerous. It is a conspiracy. There is a hit out on you, yes you are marked. Hey, the tobacco industry is not going to allow you to just walk away. They had you dumb enough to buy one pack of cigarettes for anywhere from $6-$12.00 per pack depending where you are.

You should get into the witness protection program, naw you-ll be smoked there too.no go ahead have another cancer stick or coffen nail and stop blaming other things for you to start back up cause its what you really want to do isnt itNo its GOOD FOR YOU, but I do agree with you its KILLING me...Cant even turn this computer on without looking for a cigarette.. WOW.. Hang in there..Your friend in Tennessee...ROB...maybe you crashed because you mention breaking arm first ?
As for weight you do over eat get over the giving up first then consider a diet .
Good luck .Not stopping is more dangerous.
At least you are still here. Its just bad luck that all these things are happening to you. Stop smoking was a good thing to do. Don-t blame the bad luck on it. It will make you nervous. I have seen others that quit and gained weight. I quit 2.5 yrs. ago, got nervous but have not gained 1 oz. Please don-t start back. It will cause cancer. I had to have part of my tongue removed because of smoking, Cancer.Stoping cold turcky is not the smartis thing but its still better that anyting. The only one of your proumbles that have to do with smoking might be the weight gain....or mabey that because your arent as active with a broken arm...but do not start smoking, its a wast of money and it kills you.noROFL... That-s pretty damn unlucky... Don-t go back to smoking though!!WOW, you-ve had a nasty time of it haven-t you?
I don-t think the quitting had anything to do with the crash or the broken arm. The weight gain is common though, I ate LOADS when I quit last year, but I got it under control and didn-t gain too much weight, and I lost it all again.
Whatever you do don-t give up on giving up, you-ll feel better for it in the long run.no its not its healthyOf course it is. The reason you broke your arm was cause you didn-t have all that tar and nicotine holding the bones togetherCoincidental.

How do convince someone to stop smoking? -

How do convince someone to stop smoking? -

Honestly there-s nothing you can say. They-ll only stop when they want to stop. You can-t sway someone to quit with a teary eyed pep talk nicotine addiction doesn-t work that way. Also lying about the effects of cigarettes won-t help anyone. I know someone who had lived to be 98 but smoke 2 packs a day since he was 14. Does that mean they were gonna live to be 400+ years old? No, don-t be stupid pikapika.

P.S. I-m not for smoking but I am for people making their own choices. I don-t want to press my views on other people and what they do with their bodies is their own businessLook you can-t get someone just to stop smoking. Before I had quit smoking, my mother and sisters used to nag me all the time to quit. It actually made me more angry at them and sort of distorted our relationship. I eventually learned that smoking is not for me and therefore quit on my own.you steal the cigars and burn um. hehe o Billie Jean is not my lover (uhhhh)
She-s just a girl who claims that I am the one (oh yea)
But the kid is not my son (thats right)
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my sonYou really can-t. It-s hard for them to stop. They get cranky, headaches, and feel sick if they aren-t smoking.1) Tell them that every time they smoke, their live is shortened by 7 months.

2) Tell them no one wants to be around them when they smoke, and that their life is shortened, too.

50% of stopping smoking is hearing every one saying you cant How hard it is, commercials, and products? -

50% of stopping smoking is hearing every one saying you cant How hard it is, commercials, and products? -

50% of quitting smoking is determination while the other 50% is the willpower to overcome the addiction created by the steroids in cigarettes with the cells in your body. During nicotine withdrawal, your cells are doing without a steroid bind to which they have become accustomed over time. Therefore, it takes time for your cells to forget about and stop seeking the steroids in the cigarettes. When your cells figure out that you are seriously not going to give them what they want, they forget about the steroidal bond; then, you are free!!!!!! Don-t be co-dependant with your cells!!! Take Control!

nssd to badQuitting smoking is extremely difficult. The withdrawl makes us not want to, but we know the risks and we know that they are not worth it. For anyone who wants to end their nicotine addiction, check out www.stopsmokingcleveland.com. This is the MOST effective method on the market. It is 86% effective and the details of the program are on the website (no signing up or submitting your information).

I tried this program and it changed my life.start smoking less day by day and start as new habit:maybe chewing gumsself control, sound easy but is very hard to doStaying busy is what helped me. I made a list of all the things I wanted to do in my life, including home repairs, writing, and working out. I created such a busy calendar I had no more time to sit idlely by needing a smoke.I put them down and never looked back.there is no easy way or shortcut to stopsmoking..u have to break the habit,u need strong determination and will- power...Go to www.nicout.com these are great filters. They filter out alot of the tar and nicotine (this will help battle your nicotine addiction.) While using them slowly cut down. Say you smoke a half a pack for a few weeks then cut 1 cigarette out, so on and so fourth. But only do that when you are 100% ready, DO NOT RUSH IT! Also Stop smoking when you are mostly likely too. Like in a car or after a meal. At first you smoke the same amount, just smoke at odd times. This will help break the association smoking habit. And mostly you have to want to 100%. If there is any doubt in your mind there is no point, cause you will only start up again.. Never cheat and stick to your declining pattern. Best of luck!First: Be determined to do it.
Second: Wait for an opportunity, for instance, a big flu.
Third: Resist for two weeks and the nicotine need goes away.
